Many people think the spine is "fixed" or held together by muscles and ligaments.

That's not entirely correct.

She has been suffering from foot, ankle, knee, and hip pain her whole life.

When she finally was open for our help she told me that she's been wearing orthopedic insoles since she was 6 years old 🤯

She showed me her shoe closet, All the specialty orthopedic shoes she's been wearing which are so stiff that you couldn't even bend them if you tried.

Her Feet are so deformed that she can't even fit in any shoes anymore.

She asked me Is it possible? Is it fixable?

So while of course we did do some foot restoration exercises. The answer is "the longer you spend time in conventional footwear the longer it is to be going to reverse it"

It means there's hope for your kids, get them out of those high heel narrow toe boxes while you still can. Walk around the house barefoot. Play the park without shoes.

Don't suffer like my grandma does. 🤯

This is an extreme case of what orthotics can do to your feet over time. However it's not just limited to your feet alone.

If you've been following for a while you'll have learnt that the body is a single, synchronised system i.e. everything working together at the same time.

This I'm afraid is only half true and this is what I have to contend with - educating the public on what's ACTUALLY happening.

Yes it is true that tight muscles etc can lead to pain and/or loss of function/ range and mobility, however, what fancy and convincing infomercials like this don't tell you is WHY those particular muscles are tight.

They are tight because of a loss of bone leverage leading to instability in the skeletal structure. This then requires the muscles to work harder than they would otherwise have to in order to maintain stability so you can carry on walking, running etc.

When your muscles can no longer work hard enough to support an unstable structure, pain and dysfunction set in.

The ONLY solution to a mechanical problem is a mechanical solution I.e. to correct the bones in the body that the body itself cannot correct due to not having muscles or a combination of muscles to pull in the direction needed.
