Good morning to all Lordswood patients,

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Practice Director for Lordswood Medical Group. Having joined earlier this year from a non NHS background, I am thrilled to be part of this dedicated team.

It has been a pleasure meeting many of our long-standing patients, and along with the Partners and staff, we are committed to meeting and exceeding your expectations. You may have already noticed some changes, such as the recent redecoration of the main Lordswood House site, with further enhancements planned for all of our locations.

I am particularly excited to collaborate with the Patient Participation Group (PPG), led by Jean Broadfield. The PPG serves as an advisory body fostering positive relationships between Lordswood and our patients. If you are interested in joining this team, please reach out to the practice for more information.

Our practice now operates from 0800-1830, Monday to Friday, with a triage process in place that has garnered positive feedback from many patients.

I eagerly anticipate the journey ahead with all of you.

Day 2 of total triage has shown our aim to provide fair access to all whilst promoting continuity and choice of clinician looks promising. Today, our GPs triaged 356 requests, phones and reception remain quiet. Access to us whether online, by phone or in person gives you the same level of service. Our reception now focus on helping people who need it. Access us via the NHS App by submitting a medical query or visit our website. We hope our service is improving for you all.

‼️ Online Triage System ‼️

We have received some feedback letting us know that some of our patients have tried to book an appointment via our new booking system and are unable to locate appointments.
To request an appointment, please visit our surgery website Lordswood.org.uk and not Systmone Online.
This will take you to our website home page where you will see a Request an Appointment button. Once selected this will then take you to our appointments page and enable you to follow a link to the correct form.
Please note this will not take you to a screen to book an appointment slot. Instead, once your form has been triaged by one of our GPs you will receive a response within 1 working day.
If a face to face appointment is required you will receive a booking link in order for you to select an appointment time.

We’d like to share feedback from total triage Day 1. Our aim is fair access for all, whilst promoting continuity and choice of clinician. Accessing us online, by phone, or in person gives you the same service. Today our GPs triaged over 400 requests, dealing with quick consultations to make time for those who need it. Phone waits are 2 minutes and reception queuing is rare. Reception now focus on helping the elderly, and anyone needing help to use triage such as people with disabilities, additional needs, or who can’t access the internet. Thank you for your patience. We hope it will improve our service for you all.

From 8am today, if you require an appointment at Lordswood Medical Practice, Quinborne (Selcroft Surgery) and Quinton Family Practice, please submit an online request form via the practice website or through the NHS app. This means you no longer need to queue outside the practice in the morning nor do you need to wait to speak to the receptionist on the phone to get an appointment. All online requests will be reviewed by a GP and responded to within 1 working day.

From 3rd July 2023, we will no longer be accepting medication requests over the telephone with the exception of housebound and vulnerable patients. To order your medications you can visit us online at lordswood.org.uk, you can drop requests off to the surgery either using your repeat slip or a written request and you can visit us in person at the surgery.
Our telephone lines will still be open 10AM-4PM for medication related queries only.
