Swapping potatoes for a swede, maybe celeriac or cauliflower can halve or more your carb intake without sacrificing flavour.
I did a swede mash on Sunday, I haven’t done it for years, and got 3 meals out of it.
Carbs
- potato = 17.6g & 85 kcal, Fibre 2.6g
- swede = 8.1g & 36kcal, Fibre 2.5g
- celeriac = 7.2g & 42kcal, Fibre 1.8g
- cauliflower = 2g & 25kcal, Fibre 2g
