Massive thank you to two stars that helped me through the day?

Alex, Elliot and Rikki from Hollington Medical Ltd - for helping to get me a brand spanking new autoclave within 24hrs.

Autoclave Update – Podiatry Clinic (10.04.2025)+

We wish to inform our patients that our clinic’s autoclave, which is essential for sterilising instruments, has unfortunately broken down. A certified technician assessed the unit and determined it was beyond repair. A new autoclave has been purchased and is currently awaiting delivery, which is expected within 2–3 days.

The Importance of a Steriliser in a Clinical Environment

A steriliser, or autoclave, is a critical piece of equipment in any clinical setting, especially in podiatry where instruments come into direct contact with skin and nails. It ensures all reusable tools are thoroughly sterilised, eliminating bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores to prevent cross-contamination and infection. Maintaining high standards of sterilisation is fundamental to patient safety and professional clinical practice. The use of a fully functioning and validated autoclave is not just best practice—it is a legal and ethical requirement in healthcare environments.
