⚠️ security warning for your community ⚠️
Firstly someone reading this will be hacked for not taking it in, that’s ok we are humans and need constant reminding, life is busy!
Scammers are everywhere right now — they’ve got more tricks than a magician on double espresso ☕🎩 So please, stay alert and vigilant when sending or receiving money.
✅ If in doubt, call the person — voices are harder to fake than texts!
💳 Only use debit cards online if you 100% trust the site. Credit cards usually give you a better chance of getting your money back if something goes wrong.
📱 Be careful joining WhatsApp groups or clicking Zoom/Teams links. If it seems odd or too good to be true… it probably is! Check first before joining.
☎️ Microsoft, Norton, or McAfee will NEVER call you!! If someone rings saying they’re from one of them, hang up, politely if you can manage it, but quickly either way! 🚫📞 these are pro hackers and are very convincing.
💻 Use a decent antivirus / security product (not necessarily Norton or McAfee as there are a lot better ones out there that don’t slow your machine to a stop).
If you want advice on what’s good, give me or your IT guru a shout, we may be able to assist you in a more secure and faster direction.
🚨 If someone strange contacts you or something feels off, report it to an admin straight away.
Stay safe community friends, if you spot anything weird just call or text a safe known number to double-check.
If I can save just one person being hacked from this post it has been worth it…
