A new Mental Health support offer is now in place offering emotional help, guidance and reassurance to people in Birmingham and Solihull who may be finding the current Coronavirus situation overwhelming.

As well as supporting the public with their worries and increased anxieties about COVID-19, there is also a dedicated helpline to provide support to frontline and key workers.

A number of local organisations are working together to deliver this new service including ourselves, Birmingham Mind, Forward Thinking Birmingham, the Living Well Consortium and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.

Future Health & Social Care Association CIC is an organisation that provides support and housing for people with mental health & learning disabilities. Due to our current vacancies we are looking to recruit a Supported Housing Officer (permanent).

The day to day running of all Future Health and Social Care properties is a joint responsibility of housing officers. You will be discussing benefit needs, signposting for welfare advice, and providing Intensive Housing management for all tenants.

In addition you will be expected to work closely with support staff and mental health teams to ensure that you provide a quality service to all tenants of Future Health and Social Care. All applicants for housing require approval for social housing status so the supported housing officer will ensure that all support needs are being met. If there are any concerns regarding the delivery of this service, this should be reported to your manager and the appropriate professionals.
