Cure Leukaemia

Cure Leukaemia Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials.

This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease. Cure Leukaemia funds the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) which delivers and gives patients access to globally significant and potentially life-saving blood cancer clinical trials. Cure Leukaemia funds specialist research nurses in 12 UK Hospitals and a facilitatory Hub based in Birmingham to accelerate setup, patients recruitment and delivery of pioneering blood cancer clinical trials. Through TAP trials can be setup in as little as 6 months compared to the standard timescale of up to 2 years. With more supporters, we will fund more nurses, we will run more clinical trials, we will save more lives, we will find a cure.

Meet Jasmine, one of our Paris Marathon runners! She will be running the streets of Paris in less than 50 days’ time for her dad — she lost her dad when she was 19, after a 7 year leukaemia battle. ❤️

"One thing we shared was stubbornness. Even when he was sick, he kept working, managed our local football team, and stayed involved in the things he loved. I recognise that same stubbornness in myself. Two years ago, I decided to start running every day, and I haven’t stopped since, 765 days in and counting."
