✨ Welcome to our new GP Trainees! ✨

Today we were delighted to host an induction for our latest cohort of GP Trainees and FY’s here at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.

The day started with an insightful talk packed with specialist knowledge from Spine Fellow, Wai Soon. Followed by an engaging HLS Training session to help everyone get off to the best possible start. We also had Dr Foysal Hussain come to speak with our Trainees about ‘Working Practices and Rotas’. It was great to see so much enthusiasm in the room — we can’t wait to work with you all over the coming months!

Here’s to a fantastic training journey ahead! 💙

Today we bid farewell to our final cohort of University of Birmingham 4th Year Medical Students! 🎓
It has been an absolute pleasure once again to support and help shape our future medical professionals.

During their 2‑week placement at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, students take part in a unique learning experience: Simulated Patient Teaching (SIMS). These sessions involve trained role‑players acting out real‑life clinical scenarios, giving students the chance to practice examining and assessing patients in a safe and supportive environment.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved — and we wish them all the best as they continue their journey into medicine! 💙✨
