💚 Wishing a peaceful boxing day for all 💚

Just like that Christmas is over for another year. Today is Boxing Day or St Stephen's Day.

Many people believe that Boxing Day is named as sports are played again on this day, but it's history goes back to Medieval times. Alms boxes in churches were opened on the 26th December and distributed amongst the poor. However, from 1743, the day became known as Boxing day as it was the day that tradesmen and employees were handed Christmas Gratuities in a little box from customers and employees.

would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our Christmas Memorial Christingle Service. It was a truly beautiful and meaningful evening, and your presence made it all the more special.

A special thank-you to the children, whose kindness and participation brought such warmth to the service. Your involvement touched everyone’s hearts.

Our gratitude also goes to our wonderful musician and the soloist for sharing their gifts and creating an atmosphere of comfort and reflection through music.

Thank you to Perry Crematorium for their continued support, and to Martyn Jinks, our celebrant, for leading such a thoughtful and moving service. Your words helped make the evening one of solace, remembrance, and unity.
