📸 Fantastic to see Adam from our Drayton Court supported living service in Fazeley continuing to build his confidence out in the community 💪🌿

With the support of a consistent team of Support Workers who understand him well, Adam has been taking things step by step, building trust and making real progress.

A big outcome recently has been visiting a supermarket 🛒 Until February this was a trigger for Adam, but with the right support, planning and familiar staff alongside him, he’s now starting to access shops and take part in everyday activities.

He’s also been enjoying getting out locally, including using the outdoor gym with our Locality Manager Emma 😊

ℹ️ At MCG, our support is strengthened by our in-house PBS and psychology teams, who work alongside our services to help build confidence and reduce anxiety for the people we support.

At our Forge Mill service in Redditch, people have been building confidence, gaining new skills and living as independently as possible 💪✨

Recently, Jack enjoyed a brilliant day out at Cadbury World 🍫 getting out into the community and trying something new.

David and Ben have been keeping active at their local gym 🏋️‍♂️ developing healthy routines and focusing on their wellbeing.

Plus Archie has taken a fantastic step forward, completing a college supported internship at Avon Croft Museum 🌿 - he’s gaining real work experience and building practical skills for his future.

ℹ️ Forge Mill is a supported living service where people are supported to manage their own home, build daily living skills and live independently with the right support in place.

At our Forge Mill service in Redditch, we’ve been supporting people to develop the skills they need to manage their own homes and tenancies, with some great examples across the service 🏡💚

Archie has been building his independence in the kitchen, preparing meals and growing his confidence with cooking 🍳

Michael has been out in the community, managing his money and making his own choices while shopping, supported by Amy 🛍️

And at home, Tillat has been getting involved in cooking her favourite meals with support, developing her everyday living skills 👩‍🍳

Alongside this, we continue to support people to understand and manage their tenancies, from budgeting and building confidence shopping to maintaining their home and building routines that work for them - all about increasing independence!

We’re proud to share Dunkley Street (WV1) – a bespoke supported living service designed for people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs.

🏡 4 self-contained apartments (including an annex) – offering privacy alongside personalised support
🤝 24/7 support from an experienced and dedicated team
💡 A focus on building independence, confidence and life skills

It’s located close to the city centre, local amenities and public transport links - offering a safe and supportive environment where individuals can truly feel at home.

We’re currently looking to welcome two new individuals to join the service and become part of this supportive community.

Mark has been spending time in his garden, planting and growing his own vegetables, something he has really enjoyed and takes pride in.

From preparing the space to watering and maintaining it, it’s all about building independence, routine and confidence around his home.

And even better… growing food he can enjoy! 🍅

Special Day Together at Brewers Meadow 🌙✨

Today at Brewers Meadow we came together to break our fast, with those observing Ramadan and Lent sharing the moment together. It was a really special gathering that brought everyone together in Hamza’s flat.

The evening meant a lot to Hamza, who was so happy to host and share this time with everyone.

Rainy also joined us, making the occasion even more special as we sat together, talked and enjoyed each others company.

Get togethers like this are what make Brewers Meadow such a fun and inclusive place to live, celebrating different cultures, faiths and traditions while supporting each another. 💛

🌿 Out and About with Brewers Meadow! 🌿

It’s been a lovely few weeks of fresh air, smiles and exploring the community for everyone at Brewers Meadow.

🚶‍♀️ Sharon, Holly and Lorraine enjoyed a relaxing afternoon stroll around the local area with staff Mam, Abdul and Anisah. Getting outside together and enjoying the fresh air is always a great way to spend the day! 🥰

🏔️ Hamza had a fantastic trip out to The Clee Hills with staff Farhan and Charlotte, taking in the amazing views and enjoying some time out in nature. The group have also visited the Black Country Living Museum - a brilliant day!

🌳 Holly and Rainy headed to the park with staff Charlotte and Karine for a lovely walk. Rainy especially enjoyed the outing and both were happy and full of smiles throughout the day!

Outings like these are a great reminder of how important it is to stay active, explore new places and spend time together in the community. 💚

🎶❤️ Valentine’s Disco Fun! ❤️🎶

The guys from Castle Road - Lyndon, Trevor, Scott and Nung - had a brilliant time today at the DJ Marks Valentine’s Disco hosted by Dudley Voices for Choice!

They were joined by Hamza from Brewers Meadow and it’s safe to say there were plenty of smiles, laughter and a few competitive moments around the pool table 🎱

It was great to see everyone getting involved, enjoying the music and spending time together in the community. Events like this are what it’s all about… building friendships, confidence and having fun.

A big thank you to Dudley Voices for Choice for organising such a fantastic event 💃🕺

🐑🌿 A Great Day Out for Hamza! 🌿🐑

Hamza from Brewers Meadow had a brilliant day out with his staff at Forge Mill Farm in Sandwell.

He really enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the sheep in the barn. 🐑 It was great to see how engaged he was throughout the visit, taking everything in - giving us a big thumbs up! 👍

After exploring the farm, Hamza enjoyed a walk across the bridge to watch the cars on the motorway, something he really enjoys.

To finish the day, he stopped off at Chaiiwala in Star City for a well-earned treat ☕✨
