Kate is very excited about her noisy, flashing addition to our classes for children! 🚑
It supports our teaching around getting help - teaching children emergency numbers is very important.
📞 In the UK, children learn to call 999 or 112 in an emergency, and 111 for non-urgent medical advice.
As they grow and start travelling or going on school trips, it’s important they understand that these numbers can change in other countries.
Across much of Europe, 112 works for police, ambulance, and fire services.
Elsewhere, it may be 911 (US & Canada), 000 (Australia), or 111 (New Zealand).
Helping children learn this at school — and reminding them before trips — builds confidence and keeps them prepared. 🌍
Tip: Encourage them to save the number in their phone or memorise it. It’s a small step that could make a big difference.
