Today saw our Meadow Rose 🌹 residents, families and friends join our activities team at our hosted coffee morning.

Our next coffee morning is the 10th December and remember everyone is welcome to join us.

There is always a flow of tea and coffee to be accompanied by delicious cakes.

It’s a lovely morning of chat and friendship.

Meadow Rose 🌹 is a community, family and friends visiting loved ones are really important to our residents and something we encourage.

Everyone is always welcome to join us in our activities. It’s great to see so many families popping into Meadow Rose during the day.

This afternoon we had a visit from in2cultures.
They showed us instruments made in different parts of Africa and explained a little bit about them.

Then we had a demonstration of the instruments which of cause lead to a lot of audience participation.

There was singing 🎶 and chanting, the residents were tapping away to the beat of the drums.

Everyone had a great afternoon!
We look forward to their next visit in 2026.

Today started with our Meadow Rose residents enjoying a bit of pampering.

Our fabulous hairdresser has been doing her wonderful makeovers in the salon whilst chatting to our residents.

Becky from our activities team was busy in the lounge painting nails, whilst the ladies enjoyed a bit of nail art too.

It’s been bingo time this week at Meadow Rose 🌹 ❤️

It was silence and a lot of concentration as the residents and families listened to Becky from our activities team call the numbers!

Today saw our residents start to make their Christmas 🎄 cards for their loved ones.

They spent the morning with Becky from our activities team and all their creativeness.

They had the opportunity to do as much or as little as they wanted. They could glue, paint or colour, we had sparkles and other extras to use where needed.

They all had a great time.

Macc Care is incredibly proud to announce that together, across all our homes, we have raised a phenomenal £1,106.77 for the Macmillan Coffee Morning 2025!

This achievement reflects the amazing spirit within our communities — from our dedicated teams who organised the events, to our residents, families, and friends who came together to support such an important cause. Every cake baked, every cup of coffee poured, and every donation given has made a real difference.

Your generosity helps Macmillan continue providing vital support to those affected by cancer, and we are honoured to play our part.

Save the date friends and families of Meadow Rose 🌹 ❤️

You are all invited to join our residents on Friday 28th November at 1.30pm in the main lounge to watch a production of Oliver.

Following the panto there will be a short carol service too. 🎄

So bring along you voices for plenty of ‘he’s behind you’ lines and singing afterwards. 🎶

Today Julie our customer relations executive has been to visit Bellfield Junior school.

She went to deliver chocolates and a thank you card made by our residents who had visited the school for their rememberance afternoon tea.

Everyone throughly enjoyed the afternoon and wanted to show their appreciation. We are all looking forward to the next gathering at Christmas.
