Too much screen time = tired eyes 👀💻

Did you know we blink up to 60% less when staring at screens? That’s why dry, irritated eyes and eye strain are so common.

Show your eyes a little love with these tips:

• Stay hydrated + take regular breaks
• Position your screen just below eye level
• Adjust lighting to avoid glare on your screen
• Follow the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 mins, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds)
• And remember to keep blinking to lubricate the surface of your eyes!

While cosmetic contact lenses can be fun, they come with risks. Improper use can lead to eye infections, irritation from pigments and dyes, and discomfort from thicker materials.

👋 Meet Debbie! Specialist Contact Lens Optician!

Debbie will be a familiar face to some of you! Debbie’s career began right here at our contact lens practice under Geoff, Adrian & the team — where she first discovered her passion for complex corneal care and specialist lens fitting.

Her journey then took her to the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre, where her love for helping patients with compromised and complex corneas (especially keratoconus) truly grew. Over the years, Debbie gained extensive experience across both community and hospital eye services, including roles at Wolverhampton and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals.

✨ After 15 years in hospital-based specialist lens work, we’re absolutely delighted to welcome her back — she’s come full circle!

Debbie is excited to share her experience to help our patients achieve the best vision, comfort, and confidence possible. 👓💙
