After hunkering down for about 48 hours due to , I was so happy to get outside, meet a friend for an enjoyable trudge through the very crispy snow ❄️ and get some sun on my face 🌞

Due to the very bad weather it’s been a week since I’ve been able to run outside 😫

Desperate to be amongst nature again I thought I’d give it a go today 🙏🏻

Bad idea.

Having broken BOTH arms in the last 2.5 years (and both needing surgery) I was not taking any chances on this ice 🧊= 5.5K and I was done!! 😮‍💨

This is the core of the work I do with clients: to help them understand where difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours have their roots.

💡It’s very rewarding to see people have light bulb moments when they finally understand why they’re feeling a certain way - and that it’s not their fault. But it is their responsibility - and their ability - to help themselves change that.

🌟How to not relive TRAUMA 🌟

Because our subconscious mind (the part of the mind where the effects of trauma are stored) doesn’t know the difference between a real event and something we imagine, we can re-imagine the traumatic event going differently.

We’re not trying to change history (impossible!) but we can change how an event has been stored within our subconscious mind and within our nervous system. Then we don’t have to keep reliving a negative event every time we think of it.
