In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
- John McRae

The clocks have gone back, it’s time to welcome a new season. But some of you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.
Did you know there is a conditional called Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD? Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons — SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. If you're like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. These symptoms often resolve during the spring and summer months. Less often, SAD causes depression in the spring or early summer and resolves during the fall or winter months
If you feel that you may be experiencing SAD, why not drop us an email?

October’s black history month is coming to an end, but it is important to continue raising awareness in our communities.
Did you know… In the year to March 2019, Black people were more than four times as likely as white people to be detained under the Mental Health Act. Black women experience substantially higher rates of mental health problems than white women, and black men experience psychosis around 10 times more frequently than white men.
