Sound Bath with Alchemy Healing Sounds
Saturday 16th September 2023 at 6.30pm

Join us again as Michael returns back to the studio for an evening of Sound Healing. This practice is welcome to anyone who wants to explore the depths of sound and vibrations through the use of gongs and singing bowels. A tradition that has been going on for many centuries. The basic principle of sound healing is the concept of resonance – the universe has a natural frequency at which it vibrates. My instruments create sounds and vibrations which set the frequency of your body and its organs off to vibrate on their specific natural healing frequencies. The practice of sound therapy seeks to restore the harmonious frequencies of the body through therapeutic sounds in order to find a space of inner peace.

Ready to take the next step with your yoga practice? Considering a teacher training course? Our in-depth course with Ambra Vallo will be an experience of a lifetime.
The 200hr Hatha Raja Vinyasa Krama course has been designed by Ambra herself to help deepen your practice and give you all the knowledge you need to take the next step.
Full details available on the website www.yogasweat.com

A little about Ambra…
Ambra is a former principal ballerina with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. She turned to yoga on a path to recovery from injuries and slowly over the years she fell in love with the more subtle, spiritual parts of the practice. Retiring from dance allowed her the time to focus on her passion and to undertake further training in Ashtanga Vinyasa (500hrs), Dharma Yoga (800hrs), Rocket Yoga (500hrs), Forrest Yoga (200hrs and Advance TT), Tripsichore (200hrs), and Gokul Vinyasa Yoga (300hrs).

Ambra’s teaching is fun and spontaneous following the lineage of Larry Shultz, Ana Forrest, and Sri Dharma Mittra. Since she retired from professional ballet she has been teaching regularly in teacher training courses, and has worked with athletes such as Aston Villa Football Club where she uses yoga to drive better performance. Her aim is to guide others so they may also experience the many amazing benefits of yoga to the body, mind and soul.

We are offering a unique opportunity to practice Mandala Vinyasa for the next month with Holly.

Mandala vinyasa is a playful and dynamic practice moving 360 degrees around the mat, softly flowing through strong poses and optional inversions to the rhythm of the breath. The sequences are designed to target specific areas of the body corresponding to the element and related chakra of the day as per the Mayan Calendar.
The class will always begin and close with yin postures to compliment the practice of that chosen day. It’s A creative vinyasa practice to satisfy and challenge the body and mind.

Fire - twists- outer leg/core
Water - inside leg, adductor activation
Air - front body, backbends
Earth - back body, forward folds
It’s takes inspiration from ashtanga, rocket, yin and shamanic traditional dance!

Also dates for elements with Mayan Calendar are

16/02 - water
23/02 - fire
02/03- air
09/03 - earth

The Shape Of My Heart - Jivamukti Workshop with Andrea Kwiatkowski

It comes and it goes .... the breath, a moment, a memory, an insight, a feeling... Do you feel you have moments or insights when you recognise yourself as a compassionate person? What is in your heart and how are you shaping it with your thinking, actions and words?
Sri Pabhupada said “the greatness of a person can be estimated by how they respond to provoking situations“

We have all been affected by the events of the pandemic but how has your practice shaped your thinking, outlook, day to day approach to life? The yogi is interested in enlightenment and how to get there . The practice can loosen the knots around the heart so we can glimpse the source of our nature - goodness and joy. Love is from the heart, nothing can be forced. When the knots are loosened and avidya lifts we understand that we are not our body, our mind, our thoughts. We can develop a mood or bhav where love for all beings arises, ultimately love for the divine in all its forms. In Sanskrit, this is called sarvatmabhava and it is what allows the person to become released from the clutches of avidya.

In this workshop we will explore practices that help shape us and influence our thinking. It will include -

*A detailed Asana Sequence
*Sanskrit chanting of Master Patanjali Yoga Sutras
*Meditation on Compassion and Inner strength
*Guided relaxation
*Yoga philosophy to inspire and help to develop insight.

Priced at £25 till the 28/02/2022 and £30 thereafter.
Please book via the workshop page on our website, mindbody or via reception.
