✨ Did you know? Some autistic children have a superpower called Hyperlexia! 📚💥

Hyperlexia means learning to read way earlier than expected — sometimes before age 3! 🤯 These little book lovers can spot letters, words, and even read full sentences long before most kids can. It’s like their brains are wired for words! 🔠🧠

But here’s the magic twist:
While they may read like pros, they might still need support with understanding the meaning behind what they read or with social communication. And that’s okay — every child learns in their own amazing way. 🌈✨

📖💬 Reading early doesn’t just make them smart — it makes them uniquely brilliant. Let’s celebrate all the different ways autistic kids shine. 🌟

Toys, glorious toys! 🧸🎉
Not sure how to make the most of playtime? Here are a few fun tips to help your child get the best out of their toys:
1️⃣ Rotate toys – Try a morning box and an afternoon box. It keeps things fresh, exciting, and full of surprises! ✨

2️⃣ Follow their interests – If your little one loves letters, think beyond the alphabet blocks! Try whiteboards, magnets, playdough, sand, or building games to explore letters in fun new ways. 🔤🎨

3️⃣ Teach backwards – For puzzles or problem-solving toys, complete most of the activity m first and work backwards letting them add the last piece. This builds confidence and helps them enjoy the challenge! 🙌

4️⃣ Make songs come to life – Got a song lover? Act it out using toys or family members! Yes, the whole crew can “jump on the bed!” 🎶😄

🐾✨ This week, our venue was filled with smiles, laughter, and a few furry friends! 🐢🐇🐍
We were so excited to host a special animal show designed for autistic children, giving them the chance to connect with gentle creatures in a calm, supportive environment. 💙
The joy on their faces as they touched, learned, and discovered was truly heartwarming — reminding us how powerful these moments of connection can be. 🌟
A huge thank you to the wonderful animal handlers who made the experience safe, inclusive, and unforgettable. 🐾💫

✨ OH NO… or is it OH YES? ✨
We just lost a client… and we could not be happier 💛

Four years ago, we met a little boy who could only say a few words. These words did not always help him communicate his needs. He avoided demands, often dropped to the floor, and struggled to focus on any task.

Our amazing team worked with him at home, in nursery, and later in school. Slowly, things began to change:

💡 He started completing academic work
😂 Developed the best sense of humour
🏫 Joined the mainstream class and played in the playground
🚽 Learnt to use the toilet independently
🎯 Matched his schoolwork to the level of his peers

Now he is thriving, taking swimming lessons, learning piano, and enjoying life to the fullest. His progress has been so incredible that he no longer needs one to one support.

He is our third child in three years to graduate from our services because they have achieved so much that they can continue their journey independently 🌟

We are beyond proud. This is exactly why we do what we do 💙

🌟 Struggling to find events your autistic child can actually enjoy? You’re not alone. 🌟

Most children’s events are loud, chaotic and overwhelming, especially if your child is autistic.
You want them to join in, to smile, to feel included… but most places simply are not designed with your child in mind.

That is exactly why we created our Autism Friendly Animal Show at The SENtre.

🧠 A safe, understanding environment
🦜 Gentle animal encounters including snakes, furry friends and giant snails
🤝 Supportive staff who truly understand

Whether your child wants to touch the animals or simply watch, they will feel welcome, calm and included.
