Midwife - Led Baby First Aid Courses ⛑️

This is obviously a terrifying thought for any parent, and especially new parents or grandparents who are going to be babysitting your precious little one 💕

DO NOT WORRY ….. I am here to teach you some very simple life saving skills and things to look out for that really could mean the difference between life and death as I share my almost 40 years of nursing and midwifery experience with you 🙌💕

My courses are two hours long and will cover :

✅CPR
✅Choking
✅Temperatures
✅Meningitis
✅ Seizures
✅Burns
✅ Head Injuries
✅ And much more

Good morning.

Are you a new parent, expectant parent or grandparent who is feeling feeling a bit nervous about booking a Baby First Aid Course?

I hear so many parents say they worry about “what if something happens?” and that’s completely normal. Trust me you are not alone here.

A baby first aid course isn’t about fear or scaring you. It’s about learning simple, practical skills that will help you to feel more confident and in control of any emergency situation at home.

I’m Caron, a registered midwife and I’ve taught hundreds of parents just like you, and every single one arrives a little unsure and even anxious.

Please don’t worry though! There’s plenty of time to practise, ask questions, and take things at your own pace and no rushing or pressure to get it right first time either. You are here to learn after all.

My classes are extremely welcoming and I do try and keep them as lighthearted as I can as I teach you how to do CPR and help a choking baby alongside covering head injuries, burns, fits, temperatures and signs of meningitis.

Facing an emergency situation at home is quite a different story though to facing an emergency situation in a hospital - there are no buzzers to pull and no team will be rushing in - it’s just you alone needing to act quickly.

So as the weather starts to warm up, here are a few tips and signs to watch out for for heat stroke in your babies as they don’t regulate their temperatures as well as we do - I hope it helps 🙏💕
