If you’re 40+, this is your reminder.

Taking "Time for yourself" isn't selfish, it's absolutely non-negotiable.

You've spent decades pouring into others, managing careers, and navigating complex life demands.

Now, your well-being requires dedicated space.

This isn't just about the yoga or the workout; it's about claiming that time to recharge your mental and emotional batteries.

It’s about cultivating the inner strength to say 'no' to what drains you and 'yes' to what restores you.

The most powerful thing you can do for everyone else is take care of yourself first.

Take a deep breath and give yourself this gift today. 🧡

If you’re 40+, this is your reminder.

Give yourself credit. You already know what true strength is.

It's not about being perfect; it's about the resilience you’ve built navigating decades of life, love, losses, and learning.

It’s the inner grit that keeps you showing up, whether it's running, on the yoga mat, under the weight rack, or simply starting a new day.

The strength you carry is immense. It's earned. The physical wellness you pursue is simply a reflection of that unshakeable inner power.

Take a moment today and acknowledge the powerful, resilient person you've become. 🧡

October, you little stunner! 🍂

I love summer, but autumn has been something else this year. A quick trip to Epping Forest turned into me taking photos of every mushroom in sight. I'm completely obsessed with all the gorgeousness.

Last weekend, I escaped to one of my favourite beaches in Norfolk. At dawn, you can have the whole beach and sunrise to yourself. It’s the most incredible thing to experience, and I’m honestly in love.

October reminded me that life feels most magical when you slow down enough to notice it. ✨

If you sit a lot, your glutes can switch off, which can lead to tight hips, sore knees, or a stiff lower back.

These three moves help wake them back up and bring balance through your hips and core. Option to use a resistance band.

Bridge lowers – lift, squeeze, and lower with control. Add a band around your thighs for extra fire.

Banded donkey kicks – lift to hip height, keep your core steady, and really connect to the movement.

Banded clam shells – stay slow and controlled, keeping tension on the band.

Do 12–15 reps of each and feel the difference. Perfect before a workout or after a day at your desk.

Kingston to Hastings 🚴‍♀️ 125km | 7 hrs

This was such a beautiful ride with quiet country roads, forest trails, and rolling hills. We picked up the Cuckoo Trail near Heathfield, which was traffic-free, peaceful, and so scenic. It felt like something out of a Visit Britain ad! 🌳

We lucked out with the weather. Stopped halfway for a sandwich at cute little flower farm café which had proper Bake-Off vibes. 🧁🥪☕️

Then we pushed on to Hastings, where we landed just in time for food and a couple of cheeky drinks to celebrate and a bed for the night. 🥂

Google said 8 hours, we did it in 7, which we were patting ourselves on the back for! 💪

Didn’t stop much for photos (regretting that now), but we were on a mission and just wanted to keep moving.

Our legs were done by the end, so getting the train home the next day was the right call.

It is a tough but totally doable route. If you’re up for a long, scenic ride, I would highly recommend this one.🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️💕

Hardest Park Run in the UK?

I took part in the Great Yarmouth North Beach Parkrun yesterday.
I’d read it was the hardest parkrun in the UK, but I wasn’t put off as I love running on the beach. I just wasn’t prepared for just how much of it was on soft sand!

The course is made up of laps, so once you’ve done one, you know exactly what’s coming. The best part was running close to the sea. The worst? All that soft sand, so much of it! It had been freshly raked too, which I’m still not sure helped or made it even harder.

It was smaller, too, with only 59 people. My last park run at Bushy Park had 1706 people.

I completed the 5K, around 10 minutes slower than my usual time.

If you’re feeling bored of your usual parkrun, give this one a go. I now totally get why it’s called the toughest in the UK.

Not sure I’d do it again… but I’m definitely glad I did.

"Here's to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them" ❤️

Raising a daughter while going through my own changes has been a journey of strength, learning, and unlearning.

I want her to grow up questioning, challenging, and standing strong in who she is, never shrinking, never doubting that her voice matters. And as she steps into her power, I’m stepping into mine too.

Every stage of life brings its own challenges, but also its own kind of strength.

Here’s to raising strong women and becoming them.

My number one tip, one that worked for me last night and many times before, is a sleep meditation. My go-to is on the Calm app. It helped quiet the thoughts telling me to just get up, even though it was 3 a.m., and instead, I drifted off to sleep when I thought it was impossible. Let me know what works for you 💤💜
