Today, on International Women’s Day 2026, we celebrate the achievements, resilience and leadership of women across County Durham and beyond. This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that when we invest in women—through time, support, opportunity and belief—we all grow stronger.
At Employability Durham, we see the power of giving every day.
We work alongside women who are:

💙 Great to be working together to help patients receive personalised support that brings health and employment closer together!

📢 Our practice has joined the Workwell Programme in partnership with Employability Durham to help support our patients who's health is impacting their employment. 📢

💼💙 WorkWell supports people whose health is impacting their work, or who may be at risk of falling out of employment. Our experienced advisers provide free, one-to-one, personalised support that brings health and employability together.

✅ What WorkWell offers:
• Tailored action plans that link health and work goals
• Practical support to stay in work or explore alternative roles
• Help with conversations with employers about reasonable adjustments
• Referrals to health and wellbeing services, including musculoskeletal and digital mental health support
• Careers information, advice and guidance to build confidence and resilience.

📍Support is delivered in the community, including links with GP surgeries, to ensure help is available when it’s needed most.

We’re proud to share that Employability Durham is now delivering the WorkWell programme as part of the North East & North Cumbria Health & Growth Accelerator, funded by the NHS.
