Did you know you can now see your pharmacist for assessment and treatment — without needing to see your GP first?

We’ve seen a noticeable increase in patients presenting with impetigo in the community this week – a common and highly contagious skin infection, particularly among young children.

If you or your child (aged 1 and over) are showing signs of impetigo – such as red sores, blisters, or yellowish crusting around the nose and mouth – we can help.

Through the NHS Pharmacy First service, we can:
✅ Assess symptoms
✅ Provide clinical advice
✅ Offer prescription treatment without needing to see a GP if you require it

🚨 Update on Private Weight Management Medication Prices
From September, the manufacturer Eli Lilly is increasing the UK wholesale cost of one of the leading weight loss medicines. This affects all providers nationwide.

What you need to know:
✔️ The medicine itself hasn’t changed – same formulation, same safety.
✔️ The price rise comes from the manufacturer, not pharmacies or clinics.
✔️ Some providers may increase prices straight away; others may take a phased approach.

✅ Our Private Weight Management Service is now live – bookings available online, by phone or in store. If you currently use an online service and are struggling with supply issues we might be able to help, please call us or pop in store to discuss.
✅ Flu vaccines start on 1st October – bookings are now available in store, with online booking opening from 1st September.
✅ Pharmacy First Scheme – We offer same-day, walk-in appointments for the following conditions with no requirement to see your GP:
• Sinusitis
• Sore throat
• Earache (children 1–17 years)
• Infected insect bite
• Impetigo
• Shingles
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (women aged 16–64)
Following an assessment, our pharmacist can provide prescription treatment if it’s needed.
