CYCLE OF STRESS

When stress takes a hold of your life, it can feel like you’re trapped in a never-ending cycle and it’s exhausting.
-
Something such as an argument or making a mistake at work can trigger a spiral effect where you’re then losing sleep because of overthinking everything. The next day you’re already on the back foot because of the lack of sleep and you’re feeling worse about anything else that may or may not even happen. The more this goes on, the more you’re worn down both emotionally and physically, leaving yourself open to illness.

We can remove a certain amount of stressful situations from our lives but the reality is it’s here to stay, so letting things go is a massive lesson to learn (I’m still learning it!).

I use the 5X5 rule as much as possible and yes, there are things that will still matter in 5 years time but these are the stressful events I focus my energy on resolving.

Reflexology is definitely my number 1 off switch to stress - the person I am at the end of a treatment is a million miles away from the one at the start!
