Sphinx Pose is one of my favourite shapes to teach.
In a world where we spend so much time folded forward—rounding the shoulders, dropping the head, collapsing the heart—this pose invites us to gently rise again.
A soft backbend, a quiet opening.
The chest expands, the spine lengthens, and the body remembers how to breathe with space.
Supported by the ground, we lift with ease rather than effort.
And as we do, the core naturally awakens, offering gentle strength from within.
A simple pose, yet such a beautiful invitation back into ourselves.
