Yesterday was well spent with our local hostels partners, delivering sessions designed to support people to access our services and improve connection to recovery support.

At Bramwell House we delivered a session exploring barriers to service, with great participation from those who attended which will help us to continue to improve our offer and reach those who need us.

We had more great engagement at the Islington, where we discussed ideas for the groups sessions being delivered here with the residents. We loved to hear the thoughts of those who came along and we look forward to seeing you again next week!

We also worked with residents to explore positive and negative effects of cannabis on relationships, impulse control, behavioural issues and health. We are excited to see these sessions continue to grow.

Thank you all for the engagement, and to our colleagues for helping to make it happen 🙌

For more information as to how we can help you, or people who you support, access our treatment and recovery services, please drop us a message 😁

We had a great day yesterday at the monthly Roots Community Forum. The theme was mental health and substance use and how these cooccuring conditions which impact so many people entering recovery. One of our staff members shared her personal experience of this and Krista and Cath from our therapy team spoke along with Zest who provide peer support for those living with mental health difficulties. An excellent lunch as usual followed by a group discussion about barriers for women in recovery and ideas for overcoming those. We finished with a fantastic quiz. We were just pipped to the post by Team Zest! Thanks to everyone who organised the day. ❤️

We’re proud to share that Darren has successfully graduated from ROUTES and is now moving up into PRE DEAP! 🎉
Since December, he has shown real commitment and strength in maintaining his abstinence, and this next step is a well-deserved achievement.
Keep going, Darren — your hard work is paying off!

Today we are saying a big congratulations to one of our Pre-DEAP attendees who has graduated today, and will be moving into our DEAP community rehab programme

The group took the opportunity to get out into the beautiful sunshine at our Whitehall community garden project, to reflect, connect together outdoors, and celebrate this amazing milestone ☀️

Wishing you all the best in the next stage of your journey. Days like this remind us that recovery is possible for people no matter how hard it may feel.

Today we attended the Ketamine conference hosted at Blackburn Rovers football stadium.

Organised by Pennine Lancashire Community Safety Partnership, representatives from organisations across Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen came together to discuss issues linked to Ketamine use in our areas. In the evening session we were joined by young people and families who were keen to learn more and how to access support.

We heard from a range of speakers, which included reps from our Young persons service at Early Break, and adults services at Spark who did a great job at sharing our local BwD offer.

We especially loved to hear lived experiences from the Thomas Project who shared their journey’s through Spark and Thomas - a great showcase of the impact being made in BwD 🧡

For more information on our services linked to Ketamine, please get in touch. We can direct you to the right support for you 😁

What a brilliant morning at the International Women’s day multi agency breakfast at St Luke’s.

So many agencies came together with women in the local community to give to each other. Women supporting women 🙌

We loved the day and spending time with local women and services. If you got to come along we hope you enjoyed as much as we did. If you didn’t make it and want to know about services for women in BwD please get in touch.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported the event, and St Luke’s for hosting in their fabulous and welcoming venue 🫶
