Hello! My name is Steven and I run a fabulous, friendly group here in Blackpool, my journey started in 2015 when I was severely overweight and was told by my doctor that if I didn’t lose weight I would be dead by the time I am 30.

I joined a slimming world group fearful, scared and ashamed, my consultant made me feel amazing, told me I would never see that weight again, I lose 11 pounds in my first week! And fast forward to today I am about to turn 29 having lost nearly 7 stone and feeling the best version of myself.

I reversed a deadly course I was heading down and it’s all thanks to this special plan that gave me the power to eat, not feel deprived and have a sense of community in a non judgmental group.

Now I run my own group that is just as friendly and non-judgmental as the first group I joined was, and I am now helping to change other people’s lives just like Slimming world did for me. I know have gorgeous members who I am forever proud of and an amazing team led by the wonderful Natalie Meadows who always makes me feel like I am winning when I feel like I am not.
