👨💼👨💼👨💼 January is the most popular month for people wanting to start a weight loss journey - but with lots of Weight Plans around, I thought I would highlight some of the most common misconceptions, so you have full transparency and can confidently consider a plan the WORKS!!
Myth 1: The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan is just another faddy diet.
Fact: Cambridge has been around for over 35 years so certainly doesn't fall into the definition of faddy!
Myth 2: It’s just shakes.
Fact: We have a wide range of products, much more than just shakes , including porridge, soup, pasta meals, chocolate, microwaveable meals and crisps!!
Myth 3: Yes but your body can't be getting what it needs
Fact: Each product contains a third of your recommended daily allowance. It's a nutritionally balanced plan.
Myth 4: It's a dangerous diet
Fact: The 1:1 Diet is a medically sound weight reduction programme. We have our own dedicated medical team at HQ.
Myth 5: It's a liquid only diet. You can't eat real food.
Fact: There are 6 different weight loss options to choose from. FIVE of them include normal homemade meals using a wide range of everyday foods you would buy from your local shop.
Myth 6: You'll just put all the weight back on when you stop dieting
Fact: If you follow the plan properly and do the stepping up process you won't put the weight back on unless you go back to your old eating habits then, of course, you will go back to your old weight.
Myth 7: Its really expensive
Fact: Each product is cheaper than the average price of a cup of coffee in a cafe.
Myth 8: It doesn't work.
Fact: Millions of people around the world have successfully lost weight with The 1:1 Diet since it started. If you do it by the book it will work. If you make up your own variations to it then it would be no great surprise if it didn't work.
Myth 9: It's just some person selling you stuff.
Fact: As consultants we are extensively trained. We have to sit and pass an exam. We have a strict set of policies and procedures to adhere to. We work on a one-to-one basis with our clients and are always there for ongoing support, advice, guidance and encouragement.
Myth 10: They don't really care if you lose weight or not, they will get their wage from the company whatever.
Fact: As self employed consultants we don't get a wage from The 1:1 Diet and our businesses can only be successful if our clients are successful so we have as much desire to see you succeed as you do.
Myth 11: Yes but you need to be on plan for the rest of your life.
Fact: If you do The 1:1 Diet properly you should only ever have to do it once. It is all about lifelong changes - changing portion sizes, eating habits, taste buds, metabolic rates and matching them to the right amount of calories for the individual. The only way to get different results is to make changes.
