Del Girl’s has unintentionally became a listening ear with friendly advice and the time of day for the lonely! I now want to do more and strongly believe I can with your help. We are a non-profit voluntary and independent charitable network… we are likeminded people wanting to help make a difference for those less-fortunate souls! Our team bring experience and knowledge of their own hardship and struggles in life, not a text book in sight lol… we want to help not being paid to help because our moto is Kindness cost nothing yet give priceless rewards, try a little kindness and see how rich you feel. early 2018 I will be going down the road of registering with The Charity Commission and obtaining our own charity number at the moment we are hiding the charity under the fundraising umbrella of Del girls, this in order to maximise the help we can give Christmas and postpone registration fees/red tape and holdups! People are not homeless just for Christmas some of them will be homeless all year round we want to give that helping hand and support they need! We have a few landlords on board to help real people off the streets we are looking for more landlords with empty property’s that is willing to work with us. We will be taking referrals from other charities such as street life, bridge program, Salvation Army, solders off the streets and more Government cuts have hit hard on care for mentally challenged and people with special needs/ learning difficulty they are being made homeless because they don’t understand forms and no one to help them (We are now helping people with this) Families are made homeless because benefit cap and bedroom tax… this in turn can put strain on NHS mental health sector that have suffered big big cuts and suicide is on the up! Please don’t turn your back if you can help with as little as a tin of soup/a sandwich or even food for their dog please don’t forget our own when it comes to your giving this year, our street dwellers need it as much as the third world because our government is not listening are you?
