Blackpool FC Community Trust The official charity of Blackpool FC, providing a range of activities across Blackpool for you.

Blackpool FC Community Trust is the official charity of Blackpool FC, based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. Working with residents as young as 2 years old up to adults in the later stages of life, we provide a diverse range of programmes to increase social inclusion opportunities; improve physical fitness, health and education; and lessen involvement in anti-social behaviour. Many of the initiatives we deliver are directly funded through partner organisations and grant-awarding bodies. Some of these include The Premier League; the EFL Trust; The PFA; Sport England; Big Lottery; The Football Foundation; NHS Blackpool CCG and Blackpool Council to name a few. We work to support local needs and by linking with local partners we can increase our impact on the town. The support we receive from several local agencies is hugely beneficial to us and should not go unrecognised. Working with so many organisations has allowed the Trust to become a vital strategic partner in activity provision across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. In addition to the wealth of programmes out in the community and local schools, we provide a number of full-time education offers, from BTEC Sport courses to Foundation and Top Up Degrees, all based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. Studying at Blackpool FC Sports College gives students the unique opportunity to learn within the largest sports organisation in Blackpool. This means students can speak to, and gain experience from, professionals currently working in the sport, fitness, and leisure sector. In recent years the Trust has grown significantly and has become an established organisation, providing something for everybody, that every Blackpool FC fan and resident should be involved in and very proud of.

February is World Heart Month, and on Saturday, 14th February, local organisations are coming together to support the Lancashire Healthy Hearts campaign 🧡

The event aims to raise awareness of the importance of ‘Knowing Your Numbers’ and encourages adults to have their blood pressure checked regularly.

Blackpool Football Club and Blackpool FC Community Trust are proud to play a key role, hosting the NHS HARRI van (Health, Advice, Recovery, Resilience, and Information) outside the stadium.

We’d love for you to stop by; no appointment is needed to get your blood pressure checked.

If you aren’t planning on going to the match and would like to have your blood pressure checked, you can visit the North Stand Community Hub stadium on a Tuesday from 1:30 – 2:15 pm or visit your local pharmacy.

“I’m living a much healthier lifestyle than I used to, and I feel much better for it.” 🧡

Three years ago, Darren had a stroke that left him with limited mobility and anxiety. After ten weeks in a coma, he began rebuilding his life with the support of a rehabilitation team.

Through weight management and ‘walk and talk’ sessions, Darren regained confidence and improved his fitness, even taking part in parkrun with his daughter. After a setback, he found a new passion in walking football and now also attends circuit training and boxing classes.

For Darren, being active is a form of therapy. With support from Blackpool FC Community Trust, he has improved his health, confidence, and connection to his community.
