From the point a customer applies for a property through MyHomeChoiceFyldeCoast, to the maintenance and repairs, the management of anti-social behaviour and estate management and the involvement of customers in service delivery, BCH aims to provide the best housing services to all of its customers. BCH sees its role as more than just a housing provider and wants to help its residents develop and aspire to be the best they can be. We appreciate the importance of involving customers in everything we do, and as a result has a wide variety of involvement methods including survey groups, improvement panels, mystery shoppers, BCH wardens and a higher level Scrutiny panel called TOWER. Our Reading Panel members help to ensure our publications are as accessible as possible, easy to read and to understand. The Reading Panel tick of approval showcases how their involvement has made a difference!

Following recent feedback, the panel noted two spelling errors which were corrected within the Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour booklet prior to this being published with the tick of approval.

Our Neighbourhood Panel work jointly with the Neighbourhoods Team to review our approach to handling anti-social behaviour, policies, procedures, standard letters and information issued by the service regarding specific neighbourhood matters.

The panel agreed that it would be beneficial for staff to be more visible when out on the estates to increase B*H’s presence. As a result of this, tabards were purchased for the Neighbourhoods Team to wear when onsite to encourage residents to approach staff.

This afternoon, B*H’s Head of Housing Services, along with managers from our Neighbourhoods Team, are attending a Tpas workshop on Tenant-Led Neighbourhood Impact to expand their knowledge on how the tenant voice is shaping every day improvements, from neighbourhood inspections to community projects.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be in our local communities completing Neighbourhood Walkabouts . TOWER Scrutiny are an independent panel who assess and challenge the services that B*H provides on behalf of all customers.

TOWER holds B*H to account by completing regular reviews of our services. Their scrutiny of the B*H website highlighted several areas for improvement, including developing content, ease of access and simplifying the language used.

TOWER are meeting with B*H’s Care & Repair Manager today to get involved in reviewing the Adaptations policy and booklet. It’s really important for us to gain customer views to ensure our services continue to meet individual needs.

As a proud member of Tpas, this week we are supporting National Involvement Week 2025.

During the week, staff from across B*H will be attending workshops hosted by Tpas to learn more about how our customers voice can shape everyday improvements. We’ll also be hearing directly from the Regulator of Social Housing on the Tenant and Accountability Standard.

We have plenty of opportunities for our customers to get involved with B*H and we’ll be highlighting some of our involvement activities throughout the week here on Facebook!

Fireworks are explosive devices and can cause serious injuries if not handled safely.

This Bonfire Night, please:
• Only buy CE-marked fireworks from trusted retailers.
• Avoid handling fireworks if you’ve been drinking.
• Store fireworks securely in their original packaging.
• Read and follow all safety instructions before lighting.
• Light at arm’s length, then stand well back.
• Supervise children and keep pets indoors.
• Don’t set off fireworks after 11pm (midnight on Bonfire Night).
