Bowel cancer is one of the UK’s most common cancers, so this service is vital in helping people with learning disabilities who are less likely to complete their screening - meaning they often miss out on early detection.

What an incredible milestone 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Gillian Boys and an amazing 25 years with FCMS - a truly outstanding achievement.💐

Spending 25 years with one organisation is something to be incredibly proud of. Over that time, Gillian has made a lasting impact, bringing dedication and compassion to the team and the patients she supports every day.

Last year, we introduced a new doorbell system at the Doncaster Same Day Health Centre. This ensures Deaf and hard of hearing patients can easily gain entry when the centre is closed to the public – helping make our services more accessible for everyone.

This year, we’re proud to support Sign Language Week 2026 with our friends Doncaster Deaf Trust The theme is United in Sign, and we’re celebrating by learning to sign “Welcome to Doncaster” in British Sign Language.

Did you know ketamine use can cause serious and sometimes permanent bladder damage?

FCMS is working with partners across the Fylde Coast, including Project K, to raise awareness of ketamine bladder and help clinicians recognise the symptoms earlier so that patients can access the right support.

Today we’re celebrating International Women’s Day and recognising the incredible women across FCMS and the wider healthcare community.

From our NHS 111 teams and urgent treatment centres to diagnostics, dental services and the many roles behind the scenes, women play a vital part in delivering compassionate, high-quality care every day.

We’re especially proud of the many women in leadership across FCMS whose dedication, expertise and commitment help guide our services and support our teams. Their hard work and passion for helping people continue to make a real difference to patients and communities.

Thank you to all the women across FCMS and beyond who inspire us through their leadership, care and commitment.

Tom is a member of our CAS team and is cycling from Ambleside to Poulton today in memory of his Dad, Mark.

He’s joined by his friends and taking on this 64 mile challenge - one mile for every year of his life.

All funds raised will be going to Trinity Hospice who cared for his Dad in his final days.

🏅 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐧

We’re incredibly proud of our Inclusion Health Team who have received a certificate of recognition from the ministry of defence for their work supporting families under the Entitled Persons Scheme in Weeton.

What began as a six-week temporary provision in November 2023 continued through to January 2026, during which time the team delivered primary care to over 700 patients.

Working alongside partner agencies, the team helped reduce barriers to healthcare for families from Afghanistan who have helped the British Forces who were then targeted by the Taliban.

Emma Salanki, Clinical Manager for Inclusion Health, had this to say...

In partnership with the charity 'Together we can Do', our Bowel Screening Service is here to make a difference. Bowel cancer is one of the UK’s most common cancers, and early detection is crucial, especially for individuals with learning disabilities who are less likely to complete their screening.

📞 If you're aged 50-74 with a registered learning disability or know someone who is, please reach out to us!

Carers, family members, GP practices, primary care networks, social workers, and learning disability teams can all refer individuals.
