*Very* occasionally I film myself doing stuff in the gym cos I'm by myself and want to check on my form! This morning I took these videos - first set of single leg RDLs I honestly thought I had unlocked some amazing next level of gym awesomeness! Form felt 👌🏻and balance was almost too easy!
Then realisation hit that I was still wearing my big, solid, super flat trainers...quickly slipped them off and was immediately humbled by the foam flooring🤦🏻♀️
The point I'm making is, yep it doesn't look pretty, it's wobbly and wonky and there were times when I was constantly resetting to get my balance back. But that's GOOD! I'm not training to do a nice looking, social media perfect SLRDL in padded trainers. I'm training to have joints that can take wobble and uncertainty! I'm training my feet to do what they were made for! But most importantly I'm training to be fit as f*ck going into perimenopause, menopause and wayyyy beyond!
So have a play around with your training, throw in some wobbly surfaces, and don't be scared to look a bit daft while you're doing it!
PS yes it's sped up cos it's a bit boring otherwise😁 x
