Over the next two weeks, our staffing levels will be reduced due to planned GP annual leave. During this time, we will be prioritising urgent, same-day appointment requests to ensure patients with immediate health needs can still be seen safely.
As a result, from this Wednesday ( 17th December) our 1 week in advance appointments will not be available to book. We will still be offering 6 week in advance routine appointments. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient for some patients and would like to thank you for your understanding while we focus on providing safe care with limited staff.
If your problem is urgent, please contact the practice as usual. For non-urgent issues, we kindly ask that you book a 6 week advance appointment or contact us from Wednesday the 31st December at 10am, when 1 week in advance appointments become available again .

Dental Access Portal Now Allocating NHS Spaces in Blaenau Gwent

We are pleased to inform you that, as part of our ongoing work to improve access to NHS dental care across the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board area, spaces are now being allocated in Blaenau Gwent through the Dental Access Portal.
Who can register on the Dental Access Portal?
Individuals who meet all of the following criteria:
• Aged 16 or over (parents/guardians can apply on behalf of those under 16)
• Are not already receiving routine NHS dental care
• Reside at an address in Wales for more than six months of the year, or be registered with a Welsh GP practice

🫵❄️🩺😷🤧We still have quite a few HUNDRED patients who are eligible for a FLU vaccine this year , who have not booked an appointment with us. We have a clinic on Thursday the 23rd October, if you are eligible please book an appointment or pop into the surgery between 9am and 11.30am on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, to check your eligibility and receive the flu jab if eligible.

🚌 Flu – Nasal Spray Vaccination Mobile Clinic – No Appointment Needed! 💉
The Blaenau Gwent Locality Team in partnership with the ABUHB Immunisation service will be supporting local GP practices by delivering nasal spray vaccination clinics via the Public Health Wales mobile van.
👶 If your child is registered to a GP in Blaenau Gwent, aged 2–3 years (on or at 31st August 2025) and hasn’t had their nasal flu spray yet, just pop along to one of our mobile clinics.
