🔴It is routinely offered to babies (under 2) as part of the UK childhood immunisation schedule. It is not offered to all age groups under the NHS.
ᴄᴀɴ ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ ᴄʜɪʟᴅʀᴇɴ, ꜱᴛᴜᴅᴇɴᴛꜱ, ᴏʀ ᴀᴅᴜʟᴛꜱ ɢᴇᴛ ᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ?
🔴Yes, but usually not through the NHS, unless they have certain medical conditions that increase risk.
Some medical conditions increase the risk of severe infections. People who already have these conditions may need the MenB vaccine. The conditions include:
🔴Not having a spleen or having a spleen that does not work very well (including due to sickle cell and coeliac disease)
🔴Problems with the immune system (complement disorders)
