Just a reminder that the surgery does not take prescription orders over the phone.
To order your prescriptions, you can download the NHS app, Patient Access or myGP. Alternatively, you can hand in a prescription slip in the box at reception, or through the letter box on the side door when the surgery is closed. You can get these slips from your nominated pharmacy when you pick up your prescription.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Did you know that breast screening is the best way to detect breast cancers early, when they are more easily treatable and before any signs or symptoms appear. So even if you feel fit and healthy, it’s really important that you still attend when invited.
Having a mammogram is nothing to worry about. It’s quick and easy and only takes 10 minutes and the friendly staff are on hand if you do have any concerns. So if you’re a women aged between 50-71, look out for your invitation letter coming through the post (every 3 years) and please, don’t ignore it, it could save your life. Gateshead Sexual Health in partnership with Family Hubs & Gateshead Council launch a range of new community clinics in Gateshead. To address these barriers to service access, they have set up a range of Family Hubs offering free contraception and free STI screening in a location near you.

You can now book appointments for the below at a location near to you:
- Contraceptive Pills
- Condoms
- Emergency Hormonal Contraception (Morning after pill)
- Contraceptive Injection
- Contraceptive Implant Insertion
- Pregnancy Testing
- Asymptomatic Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing

Vaccination not only keeps your child safe but also helps protect others around them.
