Our activities so far this week have included a visit from Alan Hook who got everyone remembering some old songs and singing along! Still to come we have our Let's Move session, Arts and Crafts, where we will be trying paper folding activities, a games afternoon, our weekly quiz, Bingo, our chit-chat sessions and Film Friday. We also make sure no one is left out in their rooms and will be taking some of the activities to them too!

The events calendar is starting to fill up for the first part of next year, and we are finding more great entertainers all the time. This morning Lee Wilkinson played for us for the first time, and we really hope he will be back soon! We also had our new PAT dog visit us this morning. His name is Hamish and he brought his owner, Emily with him!

We had a day at the beach yesterday. If we can't go to the beach, the beach can come to us..... We also had our first ripe tomato from the seeds we planted!

Last week we tried on hats from the reminiscence box from the Oxfordshire Museum Service, and we made mini sandcastles. The reminiscence box was wonderful and got everyone talking so it is something we are going to recreate ourselves. Watch this space!!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who was so generous with their time, donations, and spirit, for our Summer Fair on Saturday. The weather did not dampen spirits even though we had to move things inside, and we managed to raise enough to make a donation to Sobell House Hospice, as well as putting a sizeable chunk towards getting WiFi access in the residents' lounge so they can use the resources available on the Smart TV.

Thank you. Every minute and every penny was very much appreciated
