How I manage family, business and fitness one week at a time 💊

A beautiful week and I feel great.

The sunshine helps right?

We caught up with friends.

I hit some chin ups.

Got carried across the gym by Ab and Catherine (not filmed)

My client Emily was able to do the monkey bars for the first time, being 10kg lighter helps, an unusual result but a result nonetheless!

Awesome time at the fun fair.

Finished off with a Sunday evening movie that the boys watched all of 30 minutes of.

Tomorrow is the start of a new week where I'll aim to do my best 👊

Rightly or wrongly, nothing drives me mad quite like complacency.

Sitcom Dad's f*cked us.

I find Homer Simpson funny too...

But getting out of breath going upstairs, asking your wife to help you put your socks on or not being able to play with your kids because of your bad back isn't funny to me at all ðŸĪ·â€â™‚ïļ

If you can't do something right now, that's fine.

You can work toward it.

But ACCEPTING it, in your mid 30's and 40's that you are fine with it, I cannot get on board with.

If you want to make a change, drop me a DM 👊

Judy and I have worked together for 15 years now but Judy would be the first person to tell you she's not a gym lover.

Despite this, Judy has always shown up to her sessions ready to try any challenge I throw her way.

(Even if there is a little reluctance 😂)

One thing Judy had always battled with was her eating habits, but there was no real drive to change that.

Until last year when her Daughter set a date for her wedding.

Something switched in Judy's mindset and we got to work.

Nothing complex.

Just no more snacking during the day and no more epic blowouts with chocolate.

Over 6 months Judy lost a little over 20kg.

Visually, she looks like a different person.

But the increase in confidence in the gym has been unbelievable.

I would have NEVER been able to convince Judy to even try a chin up before.

But now, Judy is willing to give any challenge a go and is proud of her own accomplishments.

That's the real win.

Achieving your goal and feeling proud of yourself for doing so.

Judy is now "wedding ready" with 6 months to go until her Daughter's big day.

No panic dieting, no rushing, no overwhelm.

The majority of the work is done 👊

If you've got a big reason to make a change, drop me a message and let's talk.

You're not too busy.

That's a bu****it narrative you keep telling yourself.

You need the right processes in place and you need accountability.

I got this message the other day and I wanted to address it on here because I think it applies to a lot of people.

Most of you are worrying about the wrong stuff.

You're focusing on the 1%.

Be it fasting, the perfect workout split, the best exercise, supplements, morning routines etc

That stuff gets views but it doesn't apply to 99% of you who just need to train hard 2-3 x per week with basic exercises.

And do it for longer than 3 weeks.

If you want to look great topless, tidy your diet up.

It doesn't need to be complex.

I'm sorry if that bores you but it's the truth.

Get entertained by your results and the person you become along the way.

Not the exercise or diet protocol.

Just this year alone I've been called a scammer, a hypocrite, a p**n star (not relevant but funny)

And I've been told AI will make me obsolete.

Yes, some PT's out there are glorified rep counters but there's sh*t people in every career.

Not us.

We've built a community that have found a love for the gym that they wouldn't have otherwise.

My job is to help people improve their life through fitness.

I want to be a positive part of my client's week.

And in the words of Del Griffith...

"I like me, my customers like me, my wife likes me"

So if you want a positive gym exerperience, drop me a DM today 👊

Feedback like this makes me so happy.

When Ace and I started working together again, they told me it was a goal to get strong again and build "tank top arms" 💊

Ace has a medical issue that was preventing them from training consistently which was impacting their confidence.

We knew we had to get consistent and do the things that make us all feel good.

Ace is in the gym 2-3 times per week focus on getting strong on the exercises that matter and produce the best results.

Due to some weakness in the hips and low back, we focus on single leg work and hip dominant exercises such as thrusts and RDL's.

(I highly recommend you do the same if you suffer with back pain)

We're also currently on a little bit of a fat loss phase to reveal a bit more definition and get those "tank top arms" popping.

Remember...training builds muscle but diet reveals it.

So if you want to actually LOOK better, you need to sort your eating out.

Results and victories that go beyond the scale though, cannot be ignored.

Just look at what Ace has achieved so far 💊

What have you actually DONE this week?

Everyone wants to look awesome.

Feel way more confident.

Be stronger, fitter and healthier.

But everyone also has a bunch of reasons why they can't.

One question I ask my clients is "if not, why not?"

Does the plan need adjusting?

What can I do to better support you?

OR...

Are you just being a bit lazy?

More often than not, the reason you aren't achieving your goals isn't deep or complex...

You just need to put a bit more effort in and actually DO the plan.

If you're ready to get started, DM me or comment "PT" and we can book your consultation 👊

Here's a little about me and what I do...

I've been a 1 on 1 Personal Trainer for over 15 years.

I work with a mixture of people and I don't have a super specific niche.

And tbh, I love it that way.

I love seeing different people all day and having different conversations.

The fitness industry is now flooded with online coaches and AI but the thing I do best is work with real people in person.

My clients aren't pro athletes or bodybuilders, they're Mum's and Dad's who just want to feel strong and confident again.

I'm a Husband and Father of 3 myself and I place the highest value on my health and longevity.

I believe lifting weights, staying active and eating a sensible diet can change your life so that's what I help my clients with.

If you're ready to get started, DM me or comment "PT" and we can get your consultation booked 👊

Save these for your next arm day 💊

There's a ton of fancy new exercises on social media these days.

A bunch of teenage tik tokers attaching themselves to cables in all sorts of positions and angles.

We've forgotten the basics.

A simple pair of dumbells can lead to incredible results when used correctly.

15/04/2026

My goal as a Personal Trainer is to meet my client where they are at.

What their current schedule looks like.

Their history with exercise and eating.

Their goal for the next 6-12 months.

And then I build a plan around that so they can sustain it consistently 90% of the time.

There will be missed workouts and bad eating days, they are human.

But we don't fall "off" there is no such thing.

If you keep telling yourself and others that you are "all or nothing" because you went to the gym for a month and then stopped for a year, pack it in.

You're inconsistent.

Set a goal that matters to you and have a plan to get there.

If you want me in your corner on the way, drop me a DM 👊
