I see A LOT of backs and other body parts 😅 but mainly places you can’t see.

Mostly I see you more than once and with a time in between so I can see if there has been any changes in your skin, moles or skin tags.

Lately I’ve been asked a few times “what does my mole Look like?” “Has anything changed with my skin tag?” “It doesn’t feel right can you have a look” “I keep
Getting this sore reappearing what does it look like to you?”

So with this I recently trained with skcincharity to help with early detection of skin cancer and the knowledge to help.

I feel like I can confidently give you the best advice now and also know what changes I’m looking for, and which may need a more professional pair of eyes looking at you.

This is not to scare you but to make sure I can give you the BEST service there is to offer.

I look after your muscles and mind so now I can help look after your skin in those hard to spot areas too!

I get asked A LOT; “should I be getting a massage even if I don’t have any pain?”

And I always reply; “100% YES!“

Not just because it feels amazing to get a massage, but because it brings with it A LOT of benefits.

Here is my Top 3 reasons why you should be getting a massage even if you aren’t “in pain”

1. It’s your secret weapon against stress- hands up who here feels a little overwhelmed or stressed out from time to time? 🙋🏼‍♀️
Massage massively lowers stress levels within the body by lowing cortisol, your stress hormone and increasing oxytocin, the calming, happy, love hormone. This in turn helps with mental wellbeing (and other symptoms but that’s for another post 😉).

2. A boost for your immune system without seeing the GP - massage promotes blood circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system which helps to shift metabolic waste (basically the crap out your system) and boost white blood cells in the body. Which then also lowers that pesky cortisol hormone again…who knew 🙂therefore this all helps you fight germs quicker 👌🏻

3. THE best night’s sleep ever! Massage can improve sleep by promoting relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety, and potentially levelling out hormonal activity that influences sleep patterns.

Hello!

I know a lot of you already know me and know the craic BUT there’s also A LOT of you here who don’t know me…so here’s a “get to know me” post …not just because I’m taking part in the challenge …but because I’m trying to be braver 😅

Fun facts :
1. I once got told in a teaching observation I was “too Geordie” - what does that even mean 😅

2. I always put extra cheese on pizzas because there’s NEVER enough cheese.

3. I’m a obsessed with natural skincare
4. I’ve got a degree at replying to friends via text mentally and not physically

3. I am most probably addicted to caffeine…love a brew but give me a good coffee any day 🫶🏻

4. I am a girl mam to Laurie our little star ⭐️ and Nola ,3, our lush sassy little munchkin who makes me act out the whole of Frozen before getting dressed for nursery.

5. Long walks along the beach are my FAV…unless it’s blowing a hoolie.

6. I’m always training to bring you more and make your treatments worthwhile

7. My crazy springer spaniel, Herbie, will always leave a toy in my treatment room for you.

8. I probably make about 10 cuppas a day and don’t drink any.

9. Massaging YOU actually chills ME out!

10. I’ve got two degrees but don’t use either in this business 😅

11. I will 100% ask you what you’re having for tea when I’m massaging you.

12. I’ve got WAY too many unopened bottles of gin because I keep forgetting to cancel my Gin Membership 😬

There’s a lot more to me than “sports massage therapist” and hopefully this has given you a bit more of an insight into my little mind

I love helping people with massage whether it’s to unwind or help fix an injury. I take time to hear what you want out of your treatments and together we put together a plan to get you to that end goal.
