A very special memory this Easter 🌿💛

Whenever Ruari or Alana went somewhere, they would always FaceTime their grandpa to show him what they were up to and keep him involved in their adventures.

This was one of those moments, just 2 days before their grandad, Tom, passed. Ruari was showing him the view, and a pine tree was there in the background.

The Scottish pine is part of Ross Fraser Funeral Directors’ logo and has come to represent growth, resilience and the legacies we carry.🌲

This Easter, we celebrate the precious connections, the shared moments and the love that continues to inspire us.

On behalf of Ross and his mum Elizabeth Fraser, it is with the deepest sadness that we share the passing of Tom Burnett Fraser, who died suddenly yet peacefully at home in Bo’ness this morning, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was a past Captain and Honorary President of West Lothian Golf Club and will be fondly remembered for his warmth, character and the many friendships he held so dearly.
He was a devoted and much loved grandpa to Ruari and Alana Fraser, with whom he shared an incredibly close relationship, bringing him great joy through regular visits and cherished FaceTime calls. A much loved father in law to Diane Fraser, he will be sorely missed.

Funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.

Ross remains available, supported by his dedicated team at this time.

✨Unfortunately our earlier Funeral Director’s Day post was accidentally deleted by admin today, and we lost some truly kind comments about Ross and the care he gives to families.

We were so grateful for those words and disappointed that we didn’t get the chance to reply and thank you all personally.

If you did like 👍 or comment earlier and would like to leave your message again, it would mean a great deal to Ross and to our small independent business.

Your support really does make a difference🙏🤍

Today is Funeral Director’s Day, a day to recognise the dedication, compassion and quiet strength of those who support families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

For some funeral directors it is part of a long established business with large teams. For others, like my husband at Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, it is a small independent business built on care, integrity and a genuine desire to help people.

Being an independent funeral director in a town where other firms have been established for generations brings its own challenges. But this work has never been about numbers or competition. It is, and always has been, a labour of love.

Behind every funeral there are countless things to think about. Supporting grieving families, guiding them through emotional, practical and legal decisions, organising every detail, and ensuring that every person is cared for with dignity and respect.

While Ross leads the business day to day, he is also supported by a small trusted team who step in when needed. Their help, kindness and professionalism play an important part in ensuring every family is cared for properly, and they deserve recognition too.

I see first hand the long hours, the late night phone calls, and the quiet moments of reflection after a family has been supported. What makes me most proud is that Ross looks after every person exactly as he would want his own family to be looked after.

Funeral directing is often described as a higher calling and a sacred trust. Today is a chance to recognise the compassion, patience and dedication that funeral professionals bring to their work every single day.

To Ross, his team, and to all funeral directors who quietly serve their communities with kindness and respect, thank you for the care you give to families in their hour of need. 🤍

Today, on International Bagpipe Day, it was a real honour for us at
Ross Fraser Funeral Directors to have the wonderful Kevin McLean playing the beautiful Highland Cathedral at the funeral of a very special lady.

The sound of the pipes carries such dignity, emotion and tradition, and today it created a truly moving tribute as we said goodbye.

It felt especially fitting on a day that celebrates the heritage and significance of the bagpipes around the world.

Our sincere thanks to Kevin for helping create such a meaningful and memorable farewell.

Special thanks to Falkirk Photography for capturing the moment so beautifully. 📸

At Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, we are proud to sponsor Grangemouth Rugby Club🏉

Our son Ruari recently travelled to Wales with the club. To mark their 69th fixture, we donated two bottles of whisky, one for the raffle and one for the captain of Llandybie Rugby Club. Here is Ruari pictured with the Llandybie captain to remember the occasion.

We are proud to support a local club and the next generation of players. 🥃
