â¨Unfortunately our earlier Funeral Directorâs Day post was accidentally deleted by admin today, and we lost some truly kind comments about Ross and the care he gives to families.
We were so grateful for those words and disappointed that we didnât get the chance to reply and thank you all personally.
If you did like đ or comment earlier and would like to leave your message again, it would mean a great deal to Ross and to our small independent business.
Your support really does make a differenceđđ¤
Today is Funeral Directorâs Day, a day to recognise the dedication, compassion and quiet strength of those who support families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
For some funeral directors it is part of a long established business with large teams. For others, like my husband at Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, it is a small independent business built on care, integrity and a genuine desire to help people.
Being an independent funeral director in a town where other firms have been established for generations brings its own challenges. But this work has never been about numbers or competition. It is, and always has been, a labour of love.
Behind every funeral there are countless things to think about. Supporting grieving families, guiding them through emotional, practical and legal decisions, organising every detail, and ensuring that every person is cared for with dignity and respect.
While Ross leads the business day to day, he is also supported by a small trusted team who step in when needed. Their help, kindness and professionalism play an important part in ensuring every family is cared for properly, and they deserve recognition too.
I see first hand the long hours, the late night phone calls, and the quiet moments of reflection after a family has been supported. What makes me most proud is that Ross looks after every person exactly as he would want his own family to be looked after.
Funeral directing is often described as a higher calling and a sacred trust. Today is a chance to recognise the compassion, patience and dedication that funeral professionals bring to their work every single day.
To Ross, his team, and to all funeral directors who quietly serve their communities with kindness and respect, thank you for the care you give to families in their hour of need. đ¤
