Well life became a bit hectic recently and I’ve missed a couple of these. Here’s hoping with the advent of the year of the horse (fire, so not much hope) things become smoother.
Day 18 today, “respond kindly to everyone you talk to today, including yourself”. A good mantra, a kind word or a smile can be the ray of sunshine someone needs in their life to help lift them up. You never know what other people are going through, be the light in their darkness.

In this crazy mad world we often spend our time running around from one task to another. This September ask yourself what truly makes you happy and aim to put something in place that allows you at least one session of doing that. I quite like the 22nd, just sit, breathe and be with the moment, something we can aim to do each day. 1% of your day = 14minutes… surely you can spare that for yourself?

A busy week back in clinic post a well needed holiday to recharge the batteries. A lot of what I see can’t be defined by Western medicine but Chinese medicine looks at the body in a very different way. Why not see if Chinese medicine can help you?

So today urges us to say positive things in conversation with others. I’d like to extend that and urge you to say positive things to yourself. So often we put ourselves down, not always in conversations with others where we play our achievements down, but often when performing day to day tasks. I’ll bet you can pinpoint at least one episode in the last few days where you were mean to yourself due to some perceived, by you, error in your behaviour. Next time you catch yourself doing this, stop, then say something nice about yourself instead. Everyone deserves kindness, and whilst we may be good at being kind to others, we’re not always so good at being kind to ourselves.
