💙🐴 5 Days and a major difference 💦💪
💧Huge shoutout to Sterling Equine Therapy ✨

Stella (Foundations Romance) bred by School Farm Stud just finished a 5-day stay at the water treadmill while Nicola was away. Not only was it a great change of scenery; but thanks to her solid groundwork training, she took every new experience in her stride remaining calm.

The results? Today was our first day back under saddle after two weeks. With zero lunging, she was relaxed, and focused. Her body feels amazing. In just 5 consecutive days, we can feel a massive difference in her confidence and way of going.

They were so attentive to Stella’s specific needs, expertly adjusting the water levels and incline to:

When your owner goes on holiday but your fitness doesn’t 👀🐴

Stella is in with us for a 5-day fitness stay, building strength and stability in the water while her owner is away. Hydrotherapy is a valuable continuation of her groundwork training, allowing her to work effectively without being under saddle 💦

She has settled into the yard effortlessly, integrating seamlessly with our routine. Her calm, relaxed attitude is a real testament to Nicola’s holistic training approach at — thoughtful, horse-centred training that truly shows when horses step into a new environment ✨

The girls absolutely adore her, and short fitness stays like these mean happy, confident horses and total peace of mind for owners.

🐴✨ Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming Battle and District Riding Club to the centre for an evening all about equine hydrotherapy.

We talked through the benefits of our water treadmill, halo therapy, and combifloor, how they support performance, rehabilitation, and overall wellbeing — all fuelled by lots of cups of tea ☕️

A fantastic turnout and some great questions made it a really enjoyable evening. Thank you to everyone who came along!

How do we keep your horses safe? 🐴💧

Biosecurity is at the heart of everything we do at Sterling Equine Therapy.

✔️ All of our staff are fully trained in strict cleaning and maintenance protocols
✔️ The treadmill is wiped down between every horse using an equine-specific disinfectant, proven to kill harmful strains of bacteria
✔️ Our water and filters go through a continuous filtering and backwashing process
✔️ Fresh, clean water is filled from the header tank
✔️ UV light is used to kill bacteria within the water before filling into the treadmill
✔️ A full backwash is carried out after every 10 horses
✔️ The treadmill also undergoes regular deep cleans, including jet washing the header plates, and thorough cleaning and greasing of the belt

Your horse’s health, safety and wellbeing are our top priority — every session, every time. 💙

What a week it’s been… ❄️

Snow-covered yards, a frozen treadmill, and winter well and truly making itself known. We hope everyone has managed to stay warm and safe through the weather.

Amidst it all, we said farewell to lovely Tilly after a month of rehabilitation livery with us. It’s been a pleasure having her here, and we wish her all the very best as she continues her journey at home 🤍
