Our delightful council are choosing to ‘attack’ children with disabilities yet again

Cornwall Council plan to discontinue continence products for children from next year - this could mean the difference between dignity or putting food on the table for some - this make me so sad 😢

Who are these people that make such cruel decisions ???

Please sign sign sign and share with your family and friends so they can sign too !! 👍

Soooooo - it’s been a while and we are back momentarily with an update

It’s sad news we’re afraid 😔

Emma, myself and our families have had to make the tough decision to no longer run ‘the GROUP’

We started ‘the GROUP’ from scratch - it grew and grew and grew and ran for just over 6 wonderful years - we had tremendous support from our families, friends and the community around us 🥰

We had THE best time , we helped many families feel less isolated, we danced, we cooked, we planted, we laughed, we cried, we stroked spiders and skunks, we had breakfast with Santa, we stuffed our faces, we water skied - we won awards !!! 😌

We raised funds , our volunteers raised funds - even going as far as jumping from a plane and whipping off their eyebrows !!!

We witnessed incredible young people change before our eyes 🥰

Sooooo many fabulous memories and life time friends made ❤️

We have some ‘funds’ left in ‘the GROUP’ account, rest assured as per our ‘Constitution’ any funds left in our account have and will be donated to similar local causes ❤️

Lastly as parents of young people with disabilities one important thing we would like pass on to any parent / carer at the beginning of their ‘journey’ is to join a ‘support group’ - it really is THE best thing you will ever do for yourself , your disabled child and their siblings - never under estimate the value of meeting others in a similar position ❤️

Take care ‘out there’

With love Sam,Emma, Kelvin, Jay, Rosie, George , Lili and Fin ❤️

Hellooooooooooooo it’s us !!!! We hope you’ve all managed to keep well

So this happened ( see photo !!! ) A lovely donation from Bodmin Lions - from money raised at the most recent firework display ( one of the best in the South West !!!! 😉 )

We have been ‘away’ and ‘quiet’ for a very long time 😔, things have changed, personal circumstances have changed but we’re making plans ‘behind the scenes’ to start meeting up ( not on such a regular basis) but none less a meet up once in a while - so we can do what we’ve always done - provide a space where we can all ‘just be’ - for our disabled young people , their siblings and parents / carers in Bodmin and surrounding areas

Watch this space for further details - we’re hoping to arrange our first get together over the Easter School Holiday 🤞

We’ll let you know, what, where, when and how to book

Old and new families will be most welcome 🥰

Any of our families out there that can helps ??? 🥰

We need your help!! Does anyone locally have an allterraine wheel chair they could bring up to the farm to see if it will make it up around our route.

Please message us if you can help with this!

I know we have lots of families who may be able to contribute

So let’s do something for the environment and raise vital funds for Marie Curie - what’s not to like !! ❤️

( they have to go to a Superdrug that has a pharmacy - Truro if you are in Cornwall ) ❤️❤️❤️

As a club we are collecting our empty tablet strip packs and taking them to Superdrug. Superdrug are working in conjunction with TerraCycle who will convert the packaging into reusable raw materials using its unique recycling process – preventing empty packs spending a lifetime in landfill. What’s more, Superdrug are supporting Marie Curie as each empty blister packet that gets recycled as part of the ‘Little Packs, Big Impact’ scheme. It's easy - it's free and it's a double whammy - recycling and supporting a fantastic charity too. It really is amazing as to how they add up very quickly 👍
