🎄 The run up to and Christmas itself is not easy for everyone. It’s important to remind ourselves that this is ok.

🎄As Christmas approaches, many people feel a mix of excitement and stress. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, drained, or not festive enough, you’re not alone.

🎄Here are a few things to keep in mind in the run up to Christmas:

✨ Your feelings are valid.
Whether you’re grieving, stretched thin, or simply exhausted, your emotions matter.

✨ Set realistic expectations.
You don’t need a perfect home, perfect gifts, or perfect mood. Choose what’s meaningful, and let the rest be “good enough.”

✨ Protect your boundaries.
It’s okay to say no, leave early, or create space for yourself. Christmas obligations shouldn’t cost your well-being and stress levels.

✨ Budget your time, energy and your finances.
Overspending and overcommitting are common reasons for stress.

✨ Make time for for you, not just all the celebrations.
Breathe. Move your body. Go outside. Rest.
These moments of quiet time matter just as much as all the festivities and fun.

✨ Ask for support if you need it.
Whether it’s a friend, partner, or therapist, reaching out is a sign of strength and not weakness.

🎄In the build up to Christmas, be gentle and kind with yourself. Do things at your own pace and within your budget. Don’t think that everyone else is better planned, more organised.

🌱 Making Changes Isn’t About Fixing Yourself — It’s About Choosing Yourself 🌱

Change can feel overwhelming. Even good changes—like setting boundaries, prioritising rest, or walking away from something that no longer fits—can stir up fear and uncertainty.

But here’s the truth:
You don’t have to wait until you “feel ready.”
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to take one small, intentional step toward the life you want.

Every time you choose growth over comfort, healing over habit, and self-compassion over self-criticism, you’re rewriting your story.

💬 At Help to Heal…..Change isn’t a single decision—it’s a series of gentle choices made over time. Be patient with yourself. You’re allowed to evolve slowly.

This summer I have really enjoyed getting out and walking around the UK.

It’s a great way to see the countryside and spend time with family and friends chatting about life!

Surrounding yourself with nature, getting some fresh air and some exercise is a great way to get some balance back into your life.

Enjoy some peace and quiet to give yourself some time to think, reflect, heal and just be at ease.

Navigating our way through life starts when we are children.

The experiences we have shape us to be the people we are today, and help us to grow to be the people we want to be tomorrow.

It’s good to look back and think about where we have come from, what we have learnt, memories we have shared, values we hold onto.

Sometimes taking the time to stop and reflect on our lives is healthy and offers the chance to question, challenge and accept. It is an opportunity to think about what life is and what we want from it.

Setting yourself a challenge in life can be just what you need! Surround yourself with people who you love and value and spend time with nature to reset and prioritise your own wellbeing!
Just completed the Three Peaks with my daughter and travelled in a camper van across the UK.
Huge sense of achievement and well worth the training and hard work! 😓
Why not set yourself a goal or challenge this summer and make it happen!
Nothing is more valuable than giving yourself a focus and direction in life.
