Perhaps you’re experiencing difficult thoughts and feelings and feel overwhelmed at the moment. Hello, and thank you for considering therapy. If you've found yourself here, it's likely because you or someone close to you is going through something difficult. Maybe you're facing emotional challenges right now, or perhaps unresolved experiences from the past are weighing you down. If life is making you feel sad, anxious or depressed and you’ve reached the point where having someone to listen would help, then I would like to invite you to come along for some counselling. Having therapy can be the first step in making positive changes to your life, resulting in a happier you. Together we can work through what is upsetting you. No problem is too small or silly if it is having a negative impact on your well being. Your story is important. I will listen, ask questions, and try to understand how your experiences are affecting your life. Feeling heard can really reduce your stress levels and make you feel lighter. It’s a good idea to check that the counsellor you choose is registered with a professional body, so you know you’re in safe hands. I chose the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
BACP registration signifies that a practitioner has met rigorous standards of competence, professionalism, and ethical practice.

After you’ve checked that your counsellor is qualified, the next step is simply meeting them to see if you feel comfortable together. That’s why I offer a free 30-minute counselling assessment — it’s a gentle way for us to meet, chat, and see if working together feels right for you.
