I can't believe the difference between where I was 7 years ago and where I am now. 🙏

Only 7 years ago I had just moved back to the UK from the USA after my marriage didn't work out. I was suffering with a health issue, dry eyes which id been dealing with for 10 years.

Over these 10 years, I tried so many treatments for my dry eyes and spent £1000s going to different doctors to get an answer! None of these treatments helped.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands and ditch the doctors- it was the best thing I ever did! 👍 I started to research natural remedies/therapies and embarked on a gut healing/detox program. 🥦

A few months into doing this detox/gut healing program, I started to detox toxins and heal. I knew that I had found the answer and this encouraged me to keep going with this protocol. 🙏

This has definitely been a journey and not an easy one, but so worth it, because today my health is significantly improved! 😀

My eyes are 70% better and I go weeks/months with no symptoms. Although I still get flare ups now and then.
Through this struggle I found my purpose and passion in life 🙏.
I trained as nutritional therapist and a hair tissue mineral analysis practitioner, and for past 3 years i've been helping people all around the world with various health issues heal and feel better ❤️.

This journey has not been easy and despite many failed treatments, and numerous doctor visits over the years, I did not give up and eventually found an answer! 🙏

I now feel blessed that I am able to share what I have learned along my journey and help others ❤️.

I had a great time at the Mind Body Soul/Yoga Fayre in London on Saturday! It felt so good being around like minded people. I cant believe that these cakes are made from Sesame, they are gluten/dairy free and vegan! I cant remember which country they are from? The highlight of the day was relaxing in the gong bath room on bean bags... I felt really relaxed, could of easily dozed off ❤️

This in interesting. The top 10 symptoms of Low Acetylcholine.
Along with dry eyes I also get brain fog.

''Dry Eyes (“dry as a bone”):
Normal tear production is a process of our autonomic nervous system. Acetylcholine is required by the lacrimal gland to produce tears. Acetylcholine is also used by the nerves to tell our bodies when to produce tears. When levels of acetylcholine are low, dry, painful eyes can result. Dry eyes due to insufficient acetylcholine are resistant to conventional dry eye treatment unless acetylcholine levels are restored.''

If you have one or more of the following symptoms, low acetylcholine may be an underlying cause:

“Brain fog”, poor short-term memory
Fatigue, especially if fatigue worsens with exertion
Constipation/gastroparesis
Dry eyes
Orthostatic hypotension
Flushing
Emotional instability
Chronic inflammation
Fast heart rate
Large pupils

Symptoms of low acetylcholine - Parasym Plus™ helps support proper acetylcholine function, a necessary component to proper muscle and brain function

Do contact lenses contribute to dry eye?

My eyes started getting dry after wearing contact lenses for a year or so. I've always wondered the role that contact lenses played in my dry eye. This makes perfect sense!
According to new research, contact lenses can imbalance the microbiome in the eyes.

It turns out that the eyes have a microbiome, like the gut and the skin. Things that can imbalance the microbiome in the gut are anti-biotics, toxic metals/chemicals, high sugar diet, stress, poor diet in general, caesarean birth- we are often born with an imbalanced gut microbiome!

When are guts become imbalanced we can end up with not enough of the good bacteria and an overgrowth of opportunistic bacteria or candida. If this happens in the gut, this can happen in the eyes.

Here's an explanation as to why.

Story at-a-glance
-The microflora of the eye differs in people who wear contact lenses and those who do not
-Contact wearers’ eye microbiome resembled more closely the microbiome of the skin than that of the eye, with three times more of certain types of microbes
-Some of the increased microbes are linked to inflammatory eye conditions, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis (corneal infection), and endophthalmitis.
Is Your Eye Microbiome Linked to Dry Eye?
Although the eyes’ microbiome is only beginning to be understood, there’s reason to believe it may play a significant role in eye health.

According to a proposed study being sponsored by the Singapore National Eye Center:

“Over the course of evolution, various microbes, especially bacteriae, have come to colonize the ocular [eye] surface as commensals. The commensals have a role to maintain the homeostasis of the ocular surface.

The innate immunity of the ocular surface is very active, and consists of active mechanisms to suppress inflammation. For example, there exist macrophages, dendritic cells, suppressor cells, regulatory cells, B cells, IgA, lysozyme, anti-microbial peptides and barriers against external agents.

The normal commensals of the ocular surface maintain a basal level of activation of innate defense by stimulating the pattern recognition receptors on ocular surface epithelial cells.
This normal composition of microbes is important since inflammation and infection will result if there is introduction of a pathogenic strain that overcomes the flora, or if a dominant strain secretes excessively immunogenic products.”

The proposed study wants to determine if dry eye may, in fact, be microbial in origin. “Since dry eye is a known inflammatory disease of the ocular surface, this is one way that microbes can contribute to the pathology,” they note.

The microflora of the eyes of those who wear contact lenses differs from those who don't, and is linked to inflammatory eye conditions.

Hi everyone and newbies!

For those of you who haven't seen my blog article regarding the possible connection between dry eye and infectious organisms such as bacteria, yeast and viruses, I am posting it again.

I believe that dry eye is caused by a low grade infection which invades the eye or eyelid tissue.
I believe it can explain why dry eye often occurs overnight in many people. Or why it can go from mild to severe overnight (which was the case for me).

Let me know your thoughts!

Here's a blurb:
''It is my belief that many people with dry eye develop a low-grade chronic infection in their eyes and/or eye lids. This is the reason why dry eye can go from mild to severe overnight.
The infection could be caused by a bacteria, yeast (candida), parasites, or even a virus.
Once an infection sets in the eyes become red, inflamed, crusted (bleptharitis), the Lacrimal and Meibomian Glands cease to function optimally, oil thickens and tear production declines.
Inflammation occurs because the body brings certain immune cells and substances into the area to fight off the infection. These cells are white blood cells, histamine, leukotrienes, phagocytes, and others.
This is a natural inflammatory response to the presence of a pathogenic infection. It is the bodies defence against the many pathogenic microbes that we are exposed to in our environment....''

Let me tell you a little story about how I first developed severe dry eye syndrome which I’m sure that many of you reading this will be able to relate to. At the age of 19 I developed severe dry eye syndrome literally overnight. I had just been trialli

Hello everyone, i'm loving the weather in the UK at the moment, the sun is out! Just got back from Italy, which was beautiful. Here is an old article I wrote on the liver and the eyes. I hope it helps! ❤️

Liver Loving- as I love to call it! Just sounds so lovely :). We need to ''love our livers to heal our dry eyes'', I have learnt this from first hand experience!
My dry eyes got significantly better after I started to love my liver and also started to detox toxic metals such as toxic copper and mercury.

Chinese medicine claims that the eyes are linked to the liver. I believe this to be true. The reason that I believe this to be true is that 5 years ago when I started my detoxification/nutrition journey, my severe dry eye syndrome got much better after I c

Diet is important! It’s official.

And it’s not just the rubbish we need to avoid, we need more veg.

The research highlights processed foods, trans fats and salt intake as the problem but remember our bodies needs fat - just needs to be the right fat, natural unprocessed.

And it’s the same for salt - we need salt in our diet but not the horrible processed table salt stuff, we need natural salt such as pink himalayan which is rich in minerals.

Hurrah for this study!
