The GUT MICROBIOME has been talked about in the health media a lot in the past few years and more studies are linking bad bacteria 🦠overgrowth to chronic illnesses and diseases.
These studies have linked gut bacteria to our brain and heart health 🧠🫀via the VAGUS NERVE , and to illnesses such as Cardiovascular Disease, Alzheimer’s, tumour growth and cancers , inflammatory diseases such as Crohns, obesity , diabetes and hormonal disorders.
Severe eczema and psoriasis is also associated with an imbalance in the gut microbiome and I have seen first hand with my clients how identifying and then correcting issues in the gut can dramatically improve severe skin conditions - our skin is the biggest organ in our body and often is used as a way for toxins to try to escape from our bodies, then causing outbreaks of irritation, acne, psoriasis and so on.
Many factors can cause an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the gut including our diets, 🍹🌭🧁 overuse of medication 💊and stress 🤯 and this can then lead to SIBO ( small intestine bacteria overgrowth) LEAKY GUT etc . . . then more serious conditions follow.
We hold a lot of bacteria 🦠 in our oral cavity which then goes into our gut, which is why oral hygiene and daily flossing is so important to keep the bacteria to a minimum. 😬🦷
Our bodies are full of bacteria but it’s about keeping the balance between the good bacteria and the bad, which is why our diet is so important. PROBIOTICS are such an important food for our guts and taking a daily probiotic supplement can be of great benefit. There are many healthy foods containing beneficial bacteria on the market now and these are becoming increasingly popular. . . . Greek Yoghurt, Kefir, Kombucha, Sauerkraut and Sourdough Bread are all good sources of probiotics, and many vegetables are good sources of fibre which are important prebiotics needed to feed and encourage the growth of the good bacteria. 🥛🫙🧄🥬🍌
KINESIOLOGY can help identify issues in the gut which can then potentially help address other health problems and I can help guide you to what herbs 🪴 or nutrients might help suppress the bad bacteria 🦠 and look into some diet changes (often temporary) to help reset the gut health.
