Weโve launched an urgent appeal to save two of the nine specialist beds that are due to close because Ashgate Hospice isnโt being funded fairly.
If nothing changes, North Derbyshire will be left with just six specialist hospice beds. That means more people reaching the end of their lives without the expert care they need - and deserve.
But together, we can make a difference. Weโre hoping to raise ยฃ244,000 to keep two of those beds open for the next six months. That would mean around 25 of the most unwell people can receive the care they need, and the people important to them can be supported through an incredibly difficult time. And if our community raises even more, those beds could stay open for longer.
Every pound you give will go straight to frontline care. It means nurses at the bedside. Symptoms eased. Comfort, dignity and expert support when every moment matters.
