📣 Official Launch! 📣

This June, we're raising £5,000 to support children struggling with their mental health.

And we're already seeing the donations rolling in! 💚

That means so much because this is suddenly very real!

Right now, children in our community are waiting months for help. Some won't get it at all.

So we're STEPPING IN.

🚶‍♂️ "5K a day for 5K"

Starting June 1st, John will be running/walking 5km every single day with a different person.

30 days. 30 runs/walks. One goal:

More children heard. More children supported.

If you've already donate - thank you.
If you haven't yet - we'd love you to be a part of this.

Something is coming! 👀

We've been busy working on something recently that is very close to our hearts! We'll share more soon but it's all about supporting young people in our local community.

Today’s session in St Saviour CE Primary School was all about helping our brains calm down through tactile stimulation. 🧠🖐️

We started by learning about the hand brain model, exploring how our brains can sometimes feel overwhelmed and how simple strategies can help us bring things back to calm. The children really understood this idea and engaged with it beautifully.

Using playdough, we practised mindfulness through our hands - noticing the texture, squishing it, rolling it, and describing how it felt. Slowing down and focusing on these sensations helps our brains settle.

Next, the children sculpted their worries. Some incredibly thoughtful ideas came out:
• a box for claustrophobia
• a cliff for fear of heights
• a spider
• a snake

Then came the empowering part…we SQUISHED the worries! 💪

After that, the children created their own worry monsters and fed them the worries they had made. One child said something really profound:

“I’ve put different sized worries in because some are bigger than others."🥹 these are Year 2 children!

Moments like this show just how much they are understanding. They’re learning that worries don’t control them - they have power over their anxiety.

Watching them grasp these ideas and support each other is such a blessing. 🥰

Sometimes children aren’t ready to talk… and that’s okay. 💛
Connection doesn’t always start with words.
Sometimes it begins with a game.
Sometimes with Play-Doh on a table.
Sometimes with drawing, colouring, or simply sitting alongside someone who feels safe.
At our listening service, we meet children where they are at. We understand that opening up can take time, especially when feelings are big or hard to explain. So we create spaces where connection comes first - through play, creativity, and gentle conversation when they’re ready.
Because when a child feels safe, seen, and heard, the words often come in their own time.

Every child deserves someone who will listen - in whatever way they need. 💬

Haylee and Tina delivered the second week of Worry Workshops to Year 2 at St Saviour CE Primary School today! 💛✨

This week, the children created their own glitter jars to help manage their worries. When we shake the jar, the glitter swirls around just like our thoughts can when we’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed. As we pause and watch the glitter slowly settle, it reminds us to take deep breaths, calm our bodies, and let our busy thoughts settle too.

These special jars are a great tool to help children feel more in control of their worries and find a moment of calm when they need it most. 💙

There’s nothing more important than truly listening to the children in front of you - giving them the space to share their thoughts, feelings, and worries. When we listen carefully and work together, we’re better able to understand their needs and take meaningful steps to support them.

Because every child deserves to feel heard. 💛

Working together to support young minds.

Haylee and Tina loved partnering with St Saviour CE Primary School yesterday to deliver an anxiety workshop to some of their Year 2 students. By working closely with the school, we’re able to tailor our sessions to the specific needs of the children they’re supporting every day — giving them practical tools, building emotional awareness, and creating a safe space to talk about big feelings.

When schools and support services collaborate, children benefit.

Raising kids who talk to you later.

Active listening today shapes teenage conversations tomorrow.

Children who feel heard when they’re young:

• Share their problems earlier.
• Accept guidance more freely.
• Trust your advice more.
• Hide less.

We don’t build openness with lectures. We build it with understanding.

The goal is not having control of your child’s feelings.

It’s becoming the person your child comes to when they need help.

18/02/2026

How to actively listen to your child.

Active listening starts with one simple shift:

Listen to understand, NOT to fix.

Try these 3 steps:

1. Stop what you’re doing and redirect your attention to your child. Eye contact tells them that they matter.

2. Reflect what you hear them saying.
“So you wanted to play longer…”

3. Name the feeling.
“…and you feel really disappointed.”

And here’s the real challenge:

Don’t try to instantly solve it.

First, help them to feel heard and understood.

Tomorrow: what to do when emotions are BIG.

17/02/2026

Why has my child stopped talking to me?

Most children don’t go quiet because they have nothing to say.

They go quiet because they don’t feel heard.

When they share something and we:

•Correct too quickly
• Minimise it (“It’s not a big deal”)
•Jump straight to solutions
• Tell them how they should feel

…they learn: “My feelings aren’t important.”

Active listening is one of the most powerful parenting tools we have. This week we will look at how we can actively listen to our children, to foster connection and show them how valued they are.
