✨ Yesterday at Phoenix Physiotherapy Lancashire we had the pleasure of some in-house training with Dave, one of our physiotherapists, on the Jo Gibson approach to shoulder assessment and treatment.

💡 It was a really insightful session and a great opportunity for our team to learn from one another.

📚 As therapists we regularly take part in CPD (continuing professional development) to keep our knowledge and skills up to date — all so we can provide the very best care for our patients.

Congratulations to our three lucky winners of £50 each to spend at Phoenix Physiotherapy! You will have now received email notification- Linda, Maxine & Sarah!

We ran our competition during the Markland Hill Racquets Club women’s sport and wellbeing event and very much look forward to the next one.
The club really is a hidden gem- so many facilities tucked away and a wonderfully friendly and relaxed atmosphere too.

Thank you to all who entered and if you weren’t a winner, hopefully you’ll be lucky next time. Lastly, thank you to my amazing team, HRH Sports Therapy, Dave Cheetham, Olha Balika and Jen Sands (who worked admin miracles in 48 hrs!) 💕

He brings expertise and many years of experience in treating a range of musculoskeletal problems, stroke rehabilitation and post-operative rehab (eg physio after surgery such as rotator cuff repairs, ankle fractures, knee and hip replacements to name but a few)

The role at a glance:
Location: Phoenix Physiotherapy Lancashire Ltd Clinic, 644 Old Chorley Road, Bolton, BL1 6BH
Position: Part-Time, with scope to increase hours – APPI-Trained Physiotherapist
Salary: Competitive salary, to be discussed

At Phoenix Physiotherapy, we believe in getting people moving, keeping them moving, and supporting long-term change through personalised treatment and movement-based rehab. Our Pilates offering is a core part of that – and we’re looking for a passionate, APPI-trained physiotherapist to help us grow it even further.

Whether you’re newly qualified or looking for a new challenge, this role is for someone who wants to combine clinical physio skills with teaching movement, helping clients build confidence and strength from the inside out.

About You:
- You’re APPI-trained (or working towards it) and passionate about integrating Pilates into your physiotherapy practice
- You’re HCPC-registered
- You care deeply about patient-centred care, and you’re not interested in cookie-cutter treatment plans
- You thrive in a team environment, communicate well, and bring positivity and energy to your work
- You’re looking for a role where you can grow, learn, and contribute – not just clock in and out

What You’ll Get:
- Support and mentorship – led by Julie Manley, our founder and lead physio, you’ll benefit from experienced guidance and space to develop your skills.
- Pilates delivery and clinical physio work – this role blends hands-on clinical time with teaching both 1:1 and group Pilates (in-person and/or online).
- Modern, friendly clinic environment – based in our purpose-built clinic at Phoenix Physiotherapy, with some sessions at Barrow Bridge and via Zoom.
- Flexibility and autonomy – full-time or part-time considered, with scope to shape the role as you grow.
- A values-led team – where clients come first, and colleagues support each other.
- Excellent benefits – Pension Scheme, Paid CPD, Holiday Allowance, on-site parking

Important Note
Due to the design of our clinic, the staffroom is in the basement, where the ceiling height is slightly reduced. This means anyone over approximately 5ft 10in may find it difficult to comfortably be within this space. If you have any questions or would like to view the space, please just get in touch — we’d be happy to talk it through.

As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you for your continued support throughout 2024.

A quick note about our Christmas hours:
