🟡 Be Seen, Not Hurt 🟡

This GloWeek (20–26 October), we’re proud to support the Child Brain Injury Trust’s campaign to raise awareness around road safety and acquired brain injury.

As case managers, we see first-hand how life can change in an instant. That’s why we’re joining the call to action: have a conversation with a child or young person about staying visible as the nights draw in. Bright clothing, reflective gear, and simple awareness can make all the difference.

Let’s light up the week—and protect what matters most. 💛

Go Dragons! 🐉💚

We are incredibly proud to sponsor Brooklands Dragons FC – a vibrant grassroots football team for both boys and girls, where learning, development, and fun go hand in hand.

This partnership is especially meaningful to us, as one of our brilliant case managers, Elaine, has a son on the team. We’re thrilled to support his journey and the wider community of young players growing through sport. 🏆⚽

Peace looks different for everyone. For our clients, many of whom have to live with life-changing injuries, it might mean stability, safety, or simply being heard. Today we’re honouring the kind of peace that comes from compassionate care and a plan that makes sense 💚

🎉 Welcome Rebecca! 🎉

We’re thrilled to welcome Rebecca to the team as our newest Case Manager! With a background in Occupational Therapy and a knack for clinical reasoning, person-centred care, and holistic practice, she brings heart and expertise to the Beacon table. Rebecca is also an advanced practitioner in Sensory Integration, meaning she can effectively support individuals with sensory processing differences.

We’re lucky to have her on board - and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make. 💚

At Beacon, we are a team: our case managers, therapists, admins and carers work tirelessly to help rebuild lives and restore independence, providing holistic support for those facing life-changing injuries, and their families.

And so today, on World Humanitarian Day, we tip our hats to the dedication and compassion of humanitarian workers worldwide, including the skilled professionals supporting individuals with acquired brain injury and complex care needs.

🌟 Celebrating Our Amazing Support Staff 🌟

At Beacon Case Management we take real pride in our supervision and support systems. Our team leaders are trained and encouraged to deliver supportive, respectful supervisions that recognise the incredible work our support workers do every day.

A recent review of supervision notes reminded us just how much that appreciation matters. One team leader wrote to a valued team member:

"I just want to say how much I appreciate everything you’ve done. You’ve been such a brilliant part of the team, and I’ve been able to rely on you completely. Your calm, positive attitude makes a real difference every day.

I know you’re moving on to do bank work now, and while we’re sad to see you go, we’re so proud of you for getting such a fantastic opportunity as a doctor – what an amazing achievement! We’re grateful you’re staying on with us as bank, it means a lot to us and especially to [the client], who really benefits from your support."

Moments like this remind us that support, recognition, and gratitude are just as important as the work itself. 💙
