Amazing afternoon at a local dementia group 😊

I was lucky enough to be invited along to their weekly group and asked to check everyone’s ears, as many attendees suspected they may benefit from ear syringing and have struggled to get an NHS appointment.

I checked 25 pairs of ears (completely free of charge), 11 of which were impacted with ear wax. For those that chose to have them syringed (no obligation) I will return to next weeks session to complete the procedure at a heavily discounted price of £30 instead of the usual £50.

A tricky but very rewarding case this evening.

A gentleman phoned me this afternoon to book an ear irrigation appointment. He had visited a clinic to have micro suction on his blocked ears 3 days ago. Unfortunately, this caused him a lot of pain and the wax could not be removed.

Fast forward to 6pm…….. both ears irrigated successfully (albeit took a little while), with minimal discomfort and the patient no longer has ear pain and deafness 😃👍

A friend asked me to see her Mum last week as she had recently become dizzy, having lots of falls and her hearing had gradually deteriorated.

After assessing her ears it was clear that both tympanic membranes (ear drums) were covered by wax. Both ears were syringed and the ear drums were fully visible following the procedure.

I have just received a message from my friend to say that her Mum has had no more episodes of dizziness or any falls.

Ear syringing can change people’s lives not just their hearing 🥰👌👂
