💻 Support with Digital, Employment & Skills in Bolton
Looking for help getting online, improving your digital skills, learning English or finding work?
The Bolton Digital, Employment & Skills team, based at Bolton Library and Museum Services, offer a range of free support services to help residents build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities.
Support available includes:
📱 Digital One-to-One Sessions – Learn how to use your phone, tablet or laptop with personalised support.
☕ Tea & T’internet – Friendly drop-in sessions where you can chat about digital support over a cup of tea.
💻 Digital Skills Job Club – Get help with online job searching, CV writing, and finding training opportunities.
📚 Digital Lending Library – Borrow a Chromebook or tablet to help you access digital services and courses.
💼 Employability Support – Access guidance, training and opportunities to help you move into work.
📶 Free Data SIM Cards – Adults aged 18+ on a low income may be eligible for free calls, texts and data through the Greater Manchester Databank.
🗣 ESOL Advice Service – Get support and assessments to help you find the right English classes in Bolton.
📍 Digital Skills Job Club
Bolton Central Library
Every Thursday, 10am – 12pm
During ESOL sessions, a teacher can check your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and help you find the right course to support your goals.
🤝 The team also works with local partner organisations across Bolton to improve digital access and provide information on training, skills and employment opportunities.
